Very good, you figured it out, now hurry. The girl says with increasing urgency. You can hear wolves howling and many paws pattering on the street behind yiu, coming closer to the mansion.

Greymond pockets the vial. If this is how they treat the living. I dont want to see how they treat the dead. He says walking up.
Apr 30, 2018 4:53 pm
Wil hops into the mansion, silver-lined shortsword drawn.

"Very well then. Everyone inside! Now!" Basra turns to face the rear where the wolves may be approaching from and after making sure the others go thru the door he backs thru the door himself, readying himself for combat if the wolves show up begore everyone is inside.

Greymond casually enters the house. Boarded up tighter than an oxes ass

Ryn walks into the house as well.

The interior of the mansion is well furnished, yet the fixtures show signs of great wear. Noticeable oddities are the boarded-up windows and the presence of holy symbols in every room. An old man is in a side drawing room on the floor-lying in a simple wooden coffin surrounded by wilting flowers and a faint odor of decay.

The door slams and locks behind you. Ismark, your friends bring with them ill omens. The wolves haven't come for three days. The woman you presume to be Ireena says as she swifly puts on a breasplate and arms herself with a sword. You can hear howls and pants outside, scratching and tearing at the building from all sides. I am sure they are trustworthy. They were tricked to come here by Strahd. Ismark says, drawing his own sword and staying by one of the boarded up windows. Ismark turns toward you all. Companions, help us make sure none get through.

Wil draws his sword. Lycans or natural wolves?
May 2, 2018 4:13 pm
Greymond reaches both hands into his bag pulling a red vial and a green vial. I'll try, but I'm pretty volatile, as are these. He says shaking the vials in his fists.
May 2, 2018 4:40 pm
"My aid and healing is freely given where evil is concerned. I will do what I can to aid you, Lady Ireena." Basra positions himself to the side of the door, ready to swing if anything comes thru it.
May 2, 2018 4:48 pm
Not werewolves but not ordinary either. Servants of the Devil Strahd. Ireena says, sticking her sword out of a gap in the boards. An animalistic whine sounds amitst the existing racket as Ireena's sword returns with blood. Ismark is partaking in similar activity at the other windows farther from the door. Ireena addresses Greymond. You can try to find a window upstairs you could throw them from as long as you put the boards back afterwords. It could get them to leave before morning, if we give enough of a fight. Ireena says, trying to maintain propriety of speech while exherting herself in repelling the wolves.
May 2, 2018 5:01 pm
Greymond points to his head with one finger than to Ireena. Great minds, eh? he starts off in a direction and stops mid-step ... and the stairs are? Anyone coming with me?
May 2, 2018 7:25 pm
"When you said wolves prowled the streets, I thought you meant they stayed on the street. I've never seen anything like this before. I'm right behind you Greymond." Ryn races up the stairs looking for the first opening he can find.
OOC:
Have we spent enough time to take a walking or in the tavern to count as a short rest?
May 2, 2018 8:05 pm
Greymond and Ryn: You see several boarded up windows spanning several rooms. There is one above the front door in a bedroom.
OOC:
I'm sorry but no, you have to consciously sit down and do minimal activity to count as a rest. I'm leaving it in you guy's hands to decide when and where to take rests and to tell me when it happens.

Wil looks for boards getting hit by wolves, takes a second to observe the wolf's attack pattern, then finds a gap and stabs into the wolf.
OOC:
As a bonus action, Wil is using Insightful Fighting on this particular canine, then attacking.

You bide your time until a wolf raises its eye to the planks and you stab it right to its brain, killing it instantly. Another takes it's place a moment later.

Ryn: You make a dent in the board but it is not quite broken. You figure that prying the board might be more efficient if you are to replace the board afterword, as per Ireena's request.

Wil: Your shortsword does not find purchase. The boards offer too much cover to the wolves for you to get a decent man.

No crowbar? He asks brandishing a hand axe and plunging the blade between the plank of wood and the wall attempting to pry it off.
