You are all overcome with fear of the Dragon and are unable to move towards it for one minute. During that time the dragon makes 2 more passes over the Keep wall and lets loose with his lightning breath killing 5 defenders and injuries 6 more brave people attempting to repel the dragon. The minute passes and the fear subsides. What do you do?
Jul 27, 2018 12:20 pm
Harold looks around for people to take to safety.
Jul 27, 2018 12:31 pm
Bartholomew reiterates his previous action to round up villagers and shepherd them to safety.

From out the keep tower you see the Dwarf Captain Escobert the Red. He spots your group and comes running up to you.

"This bloody Dragon is fucking murdering our men on the parapets. One of our scouting groups was able to capture one of the mercenaries working with the Dragon cult. He was pretty talkative though after some "convincing" by yours truly, he says that the dragon's name is Lennithon and that it apparently wasn't very keen on joining this venture that the Cult is on. Lennithon was to be used primarily as added intimidation, which is clearly working by all the scared shitless men up there. I think if we can get a few good shots on this bastard it will flee. The merc says it has no interest in fighting and that its likely that the leader, some bitch named Frulam Mordath, ordered the Dragon to make some sort of final attack. Can you get up there to try and help my men drive it off?

OOC:
Does the name Frulam Mordath sound familiar to Actaeon?

Kel smiled grimly. "I was hoping you'd all, sir. Come, my friends, we have feel deeds to see done." He races for the stairs up.

To the soldiers, he roars: "Next pass, men, we'll concentrate fire. As soon as it is in range of what ever you have, let loose. And try not to bunch up in those straight lines, you saw what it can do!"

"Strange that some female cultist would have control over a dragon, Sah?" Bartholomew sounds genuinely perplexed.

Hearing Kel’s orders his military background kicks in and he follows.

OOC:
Anyone heading to the parapet can get a shot off at the dragon if you wish. He flies in, gets about 25 feet out and shoots his lighting blast before flying out. He lazily flies about 60' away. Will do a loose Iniative for this everyone can take an action.

Kel only has one attack that works well at range... Firebolt! And due to his focus on fire spells, it should work well here, of he can hit the monster.

Rabal's heart is in his throat, a suffocating fear that tries to strangle him and presses his feet to move in the opposite direction from his heart. He has never truly felt fear before and so this is the most unnerving feeling he has ever experienced. So, once he recovers from this weakness he has never known, the emotion has to go somewhere - anger!

Flying into a bloodcrazed rage, the Crowheart lets out an ululating warcry and sprints to the top of the parapets. From here, he launches a sphere of fire at the flying blue reptile that has incensed his rage so much.
OOC:
Agghh! What a joke!

The group makes their way up top and launches their attacks at the menacing Blue Dragon Lennithon. Rabal hurls another sphere of flame, hoping this time to catch the beast in the skull as it floats past the parapets. He is somewhat in awe of its huge, lizardine grace and power, but his head is still mostly filled with pulsating anger.

"You will fall from your cloud chariot, Grandfather Buffalo! The ancestors have seen your mischief and the harm you have done to their people. Now you will suffer their rebuke!"
