OOC:
Yes you can take a long rest. Actually, I expected this encounter to be much harder for you. Luckily, you all rolled really well on your religion checks! Well done everyone.
Lena brings out some old sheets and mops and over the better part of an hour you manage to clean up the mess.

Alright. I'm goin back ta bed. But in the mornin, I'm gonna want some answers. Don't go anywhere!

Herod staggers to bed, as if he were drunk.

Did Spring have anything to say in response to Tomas's other questions?
Having been patched up and told his companions what he knows, Tomas falls asleep.

The next morning, he's the last to wake.

"Ah, smells good. Can one of you feed me? It still hurts to move a bit."

You all complete your long rest and wake up late, well past the dawn which is when you usually wake up.

Lena is waiting for you. So would someone like to tell me a bit more about what happened last night? Who or what were those creatures? Who sent them? What did they want? Are we in any danger?
Jun 29, 2018 3:28 pm
After a night's rest and early morning meditation, Herod has a bit more control of his speech patterns.

Well, it sounded like Tomas has a better sense of what is happening. Perhaps he should instruct us all as to what is going on.

Sovelin looks in suspense as he hasn’t heard anything about this stone that he carries since they left the cave.

Did Spring have any response for Tomas's question about how to handle the Destroyer?
In light of what he had told them last night, Tomas gives his companions a quick, meaningful glance before answering Lena's questions.

"Those were magical monsters, sent after us because their maker wants something we have. We don't know much more detail other than that. Fortunately, we're leaving today so they should be chasing us rather than bringing any danger to your doorstep. If anyone asks after us, I think it is most safe for you to say you did see us but you don't know much more. Which is true. If we tell you any more or if you deny that you've seen us at all it could be... fatal for you. Thank you very much for letting us stay here with you, I'm sorry that you've been troubled by this. Luckily, it doesn't look like there are many stains around. Is there anything else, Lena?"

As he finishes speaking, he sees that no one took him up on the invitation to feed him. Wincing, he picks up his spoon and slowly starts digging into the morning meal.

So you're abandoning us after bringing this peril down upon us? That's cold. 'Just tell this crazy evil dude everything you know about us and hope like hell he doesn't kill every last one of us?' That seems like a terrible idea. The least you could do is go and tell Mr. Sigmar about all of this. The Western Trading Company may be able to protect us if you lot are too afraid to do so.
OOC:
@Tomas, I have edited my last spoiler post to include an answer to your question about handling the destroyer.
Jun 30, 2018 3:13 am
"I'm just afraid that the more people are told and the more fuss made over this, the bigger the danger will be. If they think we were just passing through, which we are, there'd be no reason for them to come back. If they see defenses being raised here and think you have something to hide, they might come back again to this place as well. Instead of just chasing after us. Still, whatever makes you comfy. As employees of the Trading Company, we should probably at least report to Mr. Sigmar or Ms. Fraught that we were attacked in the night by whatever those things were. If you want, we can also ask them to send some sort of protection for you. Thoughts, guys?"

He looks left and right to his companions, who have mostly been drinking this exchange in silently.

Herod takes in the convo and says, Tomas, they are now involved, whether we like it or not.

I suggest we hold a town council meeting to discuss how best to handle it. Not everyone, just some of the influential villagers.

Tomas, ask your Crystal what it thinks is the best way to deal with the threat. I can go speak with Bella, if you would prefer, Lena.

We should protect all those who can't protect themselves from all evil

OOC:
@Herod: I'm not exactly sure what that persuade check was for lol. Was it for Tomas? If so, please note that you can make whatever roll you like but it's ultimately Peas choice how Tomas reacts to your character. Players can choose whether they want to take rolls into account or ignore them completely. That's the player's choice.

OOC:
It was more to persuade Lena to get the right people gathered and for her to chill out a bit.

OOC:
Oh cool. No worries then. I think that's an excellent suggestion. No roll required!

Tomas, doubt on his face, looks to Sovelin for backup. With a spoon of savory gruel frozen halfway towards his face, he sends some more thoughts to Spring.

I think I agree with Herod on this one. Ultimately it’s their choice whether they choose to continue to help us or not. Which is why I think speaking to the influential people about what’s going on is probably for the best.

As I understand it the group consensus is to go and inform Mr Sigmar, yes?

Yes, however I’m not sure if I still need to speak to the ranger lady or if that was just filler for Sovelin and Tomas to meet up.
