OOC:
A bit more on the subject of Magic Missile. Since the damage is only rolled once by RAW, the Evocation Wizard 10th level ability "Empowered Evocation" adds your int mod to every missile. Assuming that you have a 20 int, this makes each missile do 1d4+6 damage!

Ok, I'm done. I'll let the game continue :)

Maenor attempts for the dwarf's voice in his imitated reply,

"Ya gotta come see this."
Nov 9, 2018 2:34 am
OOC:
Another Deception check! Want to give yourself Guidance while you're at it?
Nov 12, 2018 12:33 am
OOC:
Brilliant idea! I should have thought of that.

P.s. I miss Coda. He was actually good at this stuff.

Rolls

Deception, guidance - (1d20+1, 1d4)

1d20+1 : (14) + 1 = 15

1d4 : (1) = 1

Nov 12, 2018 1:10 am
There is a sigh, and the boots of the half-orc come tromping out of the blind.
OOC:
Are Gyges and Reizei hiding, or just hanging around the dwarf's body?
Nov 12, 2018 3:22 am
OOC:
Gyges will just be hanging around the dwarf's body. I'll keep playing him as naive. Hiding wouldn't occur to him unless someone suggests it.
Gyges looks down at the dwarf and wonders what's next. Did we win? he asks. I don't know how I feel about this. Is this dwarf really dead? Did I do that?
Nov 13, 2018 11:05 am
Reizei attempts to blend into the shadows. Success relies on surprise. Seeing Gyges gawping at the corpse and rambling, he hisses, "Hide!"

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+3)

(4) + 3 = 7

Nov 13, 2018 5:00 pm
OOC:
Gyges may make a Stealth roll if he chooses.
Nov 14, 2018 3:39 am
OOC:
Hide on command

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+3)

(10) + 3 = 13

Nov 14, 2018 4:53 pm
The half-orc comes into darkvision range, and takes a few more steps before he stops. He stares at the fallen body of the dwarf, then looks to Reizei. "What. The. F-?"
OOC:
Combat! Players rolled a 17 on initiative, half-orc rolled a 5. You can at first!

Reizei is not considered hidden, but both Maenor and Gyges are.
Nov 14, 2018 9:54 pm
"Indeed!"

Reizei lashes out with his flail.
OOC:
Seriously?! Two 1's??
This site hate me.

Rolls

Attack - (1d20+6)

(1) + 6 = 7

Damage - (1d8+4)

(1) + 4 = 5

Nov 14, 2018 10:43 pm
The half-orc is ready for the attack and doesn't have to move much to avoid the flail.
Nov 15, 2018 12:20 am
Maenor draws his bow and aims at the unsuspecting half-orc.

Rolls

longbow attack, damage - (1d20+6, 1d8+4)

1d20+6 : (18) + 6 = 24

1d8+4 : (3) + 4 = 7

advantage? - (1d20+6)

(10) + 6 = 16

The arrow embeds itself into the half-orc's back, and he pitches forward from the impact. Still on his feet, he glares at Reizei with murder in his eyes.
OOC:
Gyges can act
Nov 17, 2018 2:41 am
OOC:
I'd like to have Gyges cast Blade Ward, but do I need to do anything to try and stay hidden while I cast?
Extending his hand outward, Gyges casts spell to ward him against his foes. He hopes that his enemy isn't magical, and readies himself to go and help his companion.
Nov 19, 2018 4:11 pm
OOC:
Are you moving towards the half-orc now, or staying put while you cast your spell? If you do advance, I'll need a Stealth check to see if you remain hidden until your next turn. Alternatively, you could move forward and not roll Stealth. Up to you!
Nov 20, 2018 3:37 am
OOC:
Definitely staying put for now.
Nov 20, 2018 3:59 pm
Ignoring the arrow in his back, the half-orc growls and draws a shortsword. He lunges for Reizei with a quick strike, but the blade rings off of the shield (7 vs Reizei AC 16). A follow-up thrust goes wide as the half-orc slips on blood (critical miss vs Reizei AC 16).
OOC:
Reizei, Maenor, and Gyges can act.

Meanwhile, Kalis can make a Perception check if he desires.

OOC:
Perception

Rolls

Perception - (1d20+4)

(10) + 4 = 14

Nov 20, 2018 4:10 pm
Kalis notices a tiny scorpion crawling across the seat of the wagon. There was also a brief flash of light in the distance, coming from the direction his companions were.
