As a group, but with the birds leading the way, you leave the disheveled little inn you were at. After a good twenty minute walk, you do come upon what Rolen knows to be one of the nicest inns in the city, situated on the main road as you first enter the city. It's doing a slow business, as the winter weather has definitely curtailed travel. The temperature has risen steeply, sitting at a balmy 40 degrees (4 degrees for those outside the US). Compared to the past week or two, this is a massive spike. It has been hovering between 15 and 20 degrees (-9 to -6) for the past three weeks. The wind has every flag blowing stiffly to the east as it howls in from the west, scattering snow everywhere. Steel gray clouds blanket the sky and light flakes of snow swirl in eddies both aloft and in the streets.
Across the street from the inn is one of the few places in the city you can hire wagons and carriages for service throughout the Sword Coast: Thestlin's Coach Services. They have offices in every major city and routinely travel the major roads for a modest fee.
