Ok, as you're all trying to get a better view of this all whilst presumably not tipping them off to the fact that you're here lets get a group Stealth Check at Average difficulty.
OOC:
How do you handle those? Best character rolls with a couple of setbacks for the other two of us? Or boosts in that we're helping point out bushes to duck behind, etc.?

In Star Wars, there's a rule that the stealthiest character can make the initial Stealth check, and then they can pass any excess Successes to the next character down the chain. Presumably this is to indicate that the first character has shown the others where to step, duck, etc. Of course, this then requires three separate rolls.

Yeah it's a bit unclear on the face of things in the book. What I'd say is it'll be the best character in the group to make the check (Pomin in this case) with a boost die for anyone who has it as a career skill or at least 1 rank in it (to reflect the basic level of familiarity with the skill) or a setback die for every person without. In this case it'll be Average difficulty with 2 x Setback dice if I'm reading things right

Reminds everyone he's a cunning based character not agility based so this is going to be interesting.

As you follow Pomin he begins to lead you back the way you came, hoping to keep you in cover. As you round a bend you suddenly come face to face with two goblins that seem to have been patrolling the area. You all momentarily stare at each other, the sudden surprise of the situation meaning no alarm has yet been raised.
OOC:
Lets have vigilance checks from everyone please, depending on how this goes you may just get away without alerting the other goblins in the camp.

You are at Short range to the two goblins and at Long range to the camp currently

Welcome back mcneil. Does the triumph give me a free maneuver, or am I making up rules?
Khurza grins, showing her teeth.

OOC:
Thanks :) Yeah you can use a triumph to take a 'free' immediate maneuver on any roll you make but it still counts towards the limit of doing 2 maneuvers in a round. It's not 100% clear but I'm going to rule the 'free' maneuver doesn't count for the purposes of taking Strain (so you could do another maneuver and an action without taking the usual 2 strain) - that make sense?

If you are going to attack the goblins but keep quiet so as not to alert the camp you'll need to upgrade the difficulty of your check once (so a standard melee attack would be 1 x Difficulty and 1 x Challenge dice).

Khurza breaks out in a sprint toward the isolated goblins, using her boost in speed coupled with the goblins unpreparedness to maneuver herself between them and the camp, blocking them from slipping away. While in this prime position she swings her axe downward towards what she believes is the louder goblin's exposed head.
OOC:
No advantage, shame. Using my Grapple talent to keep them from slipping away.

Jabari spots the goblins an instant behind Khurza. As the Orc springs to attack the first goblin, the outlander waits for an opening and slashes at the other with his sword.
OOC:
What a terrible roll! Let's say the swing goes wide, but it forces the goblin off balance, opening the door for Pomin. (I.e., passing a boost die.)

Rolls

Melee (Light) + Aim

3 Advantage, 2 Failure, 2 Threat

Total: 2 Failure, 1 Advantage

Khurza's axe describes a wicked arc through the first goblin killing it outright and cuts deep into the second on the back swing. Staring in terror the remaining goblin turns, struggling to get out of the reach of Khurza but it does manage to dodge out of the way of Jabari's attack and begins to screech as it tries to get away.

PC - add a boost die to check

The remaining Goblin is now at short range to everyone (used 2 x maneuvers to disengage).

Pomin left to go....remember you have some Story Points available to use if needed.

Secret roll of secretness

Rolls

Ranged with Exploit + Aim

3 Success, 3 Advantage, 1 Triumph, 1 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 2 Success, 2 Advantage, 1 Triumph

The goblins screech is cut off abruptly, Pomin’s arrow skewing it in the middle of its chest.
OOC:
thoughts for the Triumph? It was screaming and you aren’t a terrible distance from the camp....
May 3, 2019 9:10 pm
OOC:
It's Remant's Triumph to spend, of course, but one possibility is that maybe the scream echoes in such a way that the camp goblins misinterpret its location and are thus looking the other way from us?

OOC:
Exploit ensnares him but if it went through his chest when he went to scream I'll say I threaded his lungs with the arrow so he screams but he's got no 'juice' to put into it since his lungs collapse. (so it comes out a gasping gurgle)
"We should probably get to moving... might as well make this look like goblin infighting..." Pomin searches over the body quickly removing his arrow and tries to do a rush job of doing a frame up job his face dark while muttering about this getting sloppy...
May 7, 2019 7:52 pm
Jabari nods. "I agree. Let's hope there are no more surprises waiting. I hate surprises."
OOC:
Is another Stealth check in order? Or do we assume this little skirmish distracts them enough for us to continue?
May 7, 2019 10:50 pm
"Way ahead of you." Khurza is already sticking a few arrows into two of the goblins, dragging a goblin into what she considers a convincing death pose.
