Round 2 Summary
Zenithral's arrows hit home, but as the airship lurches in a gust of wind one of his arrows leaves a smoking hole in the side of the rail. As the archer zips away into the frigid air, he hears a mumbled curse from Oswald. "Turnip-kissing elf putting a hole in my ship..." Zenithral narrowly dodges two more boulders hurled his way, but thankfully these pass nowhere near the airship. He is happy to notice one of the giants staggering around waving a hand in front of its face, apparently blind.
Down below, Alalla stands before the two polar bears. The animals are massive, with crushing jaws and ripping claws, but the party has seen worse. As her glaive flashes again and again, she notices Erevain's shield flicker out to turn aside one bear's head, even as the elf unleashes a magical barrage on the nearby frost giant.
One bear falls, its blood steaming in the snow. The other reaches for Alalla with a huge paw, but it growls as Ras appears, flaming sword digging into the beast's shoulder. The bear whirls on him, leaving a bloody gash on the gnome's chest (Ras takes 13 slashing damage), but before it can do more Alalla's glaive slices cleanly through its neck. As Ras climbs back to his feet, he finds Fergy alongside him, mending both their wounds with a spell. Ras understands somehow that his friend's magic should not be capable of healing, but it is hard to argue when his own injuries vanish before his eyes.
The giant is stung by Erevain's magical blows, but it does not fear the elf warrior. It has much bigger concerns when Ug arrives - or, more poignantly, Ug's hammer. The goliath smashes his crystallized weapon into the giant's knee, and the icy crunch makes the other giants grimace in sympathy. Ug's target nearly topples, but when it regains its balance all fear is gone from its eyes, replaced by the face of a born warrior ready to meet death with weapon in hand.
Just then, a heavy net thrown by one of the other giants falls over Ug, tangling him in heavy knots (Ug is restrained - so can't move around. Attacks have advantage against him, and he has disadvantage on attacks). Now two frost giants stand over him, enormous axes held high.
