Hunter takes a chance, trusting her own magical power over the mundane crossbow she keeps as a last resort. Perhaps the beholder isn't looking at her, or perhaps the wizard is just far enough away. She'll find out soon enough.

With their foes in the air, out of reach, Mai'ngor is at a bit of a loss. His meager magic is spent, and he finds his limbs will not quicken for the war dance. But a he can do is fight and hope to die a good death. He takes two javelins, draws it back, and hurls them one after the other at the beholder and the minion.

She sings a series of descending notes and vanishes from view, then quietly moves to a new hiding spot behind the beholder.

Xeliss runs and looks for cover. As she stares upwards at the beholder, she waits until its gaze is elsewhere before attempting to reach into its mind and fight for dominance.

Not sure if this will work, but I will cast Dominate Beast- WIS saving throw with advantage of 15

Peering down at his hand crossbow, Sarith sighs, but fires it at the minion anyway. His aim is off, though, and it goes sailing through the air to disappear in the darkness.

Hunter casts her spell and a cold hand grabs for Shedrak, but a magical force interferes with her attack.

Elayna holds up a hand and summons a small bolt of fire, sending it at Shedrak before running to hide. He attack hits the wizard (21 vs AC. Damage: 5 fire)

Mai'ngor hurls a couple javelins, but both miss their mark.

Melpomene disappears from view as the spell takes effect.

Xeliss finds that her spell doesn't do anything at all, as the beholder is not a natural beast.

Shedrak: 10 damage taken, twenty feet above the floor, AC 15 (Mage Armor)
Karazikar: 0 damage taken, twenty feet above the floor

Shedrak growls at Elayna, but sees that she's ducked out of sight and turns his attention to Mai'ngor. He moves a bit closer and sends a wave of freezing energy at the tikbalang.

Three rays of energy shoot from the beholder's eyes, one at each Mai'ngor, Hunter, and Xeliss.

Does the sleep ray count as magic? I'll add a saving throw in case Hunter's Fey Ancestry does not apply.

Mai'ngor grunts as the wave of cold washes over him. He feels his flesh wasting away under the beholder's withering gaze. The tikbalang digs deep, and whispers a desperate prayer to his ancestors as he hurls two more javelins at Karazikar.

Hunter focuses on Shedrak, pushing another spectral hand to try and clutch at the wizard's throat. She moves along the chasm, trying to spread the party out as well as see if there are exits to other tunnels besides the dead-end.

Without having a visual, this is a bit tricky...I want to move around to someone who is injured, cast Cure Wounds at second level, inspire them, and then hide again, all without intersecting that anti-magic cone. Aiming for Mai'ngor, if possible.

Mai'ngor throws two more javelins at the beholder. The first one misses, but the second one grazes it.

Hunter's spectral hand grabs hold of Shedrak and begins draining the life from him. He looks very weak, but still determined to help his master.

Melpomene rushes to Mai'ngor, heals his wounds as much as she can, and then rushes off to hide from the gaze of the beast.

Xeliss, feeling her magical power cut off from her, freezes, unsure what to do.

Elayna, seeing Hunter in dire straits, peeks out of hiding and launches a bolt of fire at Shedrak, but misses.

Sarith pulls out his hand crossbow and takes a shot at Shedrak, hitting the wizard in the side.

Shedrak: 31 damage taken, twenty feet above the floor, AC 15 (Mage Armor)
Karazikar: 6 damage taken, twenty feet above the floor

Shedrak, looks severely wounded, still refuses to leave his master. He continues his magical assault on Mai'ngor, blasting him with six bolts of magical energy (Magic Missile. Damage: 16 Force)

Karazikar responds to the attacks on him, firing a volley of eye rays at the party (Legendary Actions included)

--- Sarith: Death Ray

Elayna somehow manages to escape the beholder's eye ray, diving behind an outcropping of rock.

Sarith manages to avoid the worst of the death ray, but looks quite shaken by the attack.
