The Butler takes damage, but doesn't die!

Nice, you pass both saves - barely, though!

Was Sarrgul's attack against "the farthest butler" against Servant #1 or Servant #2?
Servant #1 is the one attacked by Jingles.
OOC:
We'll just go with servant #1. I'll make sure to include that going forward. Also here is my next turn. Sorry that first roll was a mistype in the roll section.
With a flourish that causes Sarrgul's robes to flow around him the slithering sound continues to leak from Sarrgul's mouth as another arching bolt of green and purple energy flows from his hand towards Servant #1.

Elias rises to his feet, coughing blood. The bloody sigil above the Butler's head flares as the flagellant whips his flail down and across, aimed at the undead's collarbone.

Rolls

Flail (magical pact weapon) - (1d20+7, 1d8+7)

1d20+7 : (10) + 7 = 17

1d8+7 : (2) + 7 = 9

Seeing the skeleton closest to him crumble to the ground, Albrecht alters his original plan and sneaks up behind the remaining enemies just as they're being distracted by Elias.
OOC:
Assuming the Butler is still alive after Elias' attack, Albrecht will move to flank him, draw his rapier as part of the move and strike down the Butler. If the blow from Elias fells the Butler, Albrecht will attack the remaining servant instead. In any case, he will then use Cunning Action to disengage and move as far away "up north" as he can.

Edit: Forgot to roll with advantage due to being hidden, though a total of 20 from the first roll should be enough.

campeador says:
On his back, Elias laughs maniacally when the Butler rakes its claws across the flagellant's flesh. Hot, burning blood gushes from the wounds and sprays the undead servitor.

"By my blood this place will be cleansed!!!"
Elias reacts to the Butler's attack with his own foul secretions... The flagellant's fiery blood leaves charred marks all over the creature's body.

(Servant #1 was downed by Jingles, so I changed the target to Servant #2)
Sarrgul's wicked sorcery bites into the Servant's rotting flesh. The shambling creatures remains standing for a moment; then collapses to the ground.

Elias is covered in blood and viscera - a visage no less terrifying, than the undead minions you face in this ancient hall! The Flagellant brings down his flail against the creature: cleanse the flesh! Purge the rot!

Albrecht reappears from the shadows, and delivers a strike with deadly precision. When the Highwayman steps up to attack the creature, black, smoke-like tendrils reach towards him - but luckily Albrecht is already retreating, and avoids the miasmatic aura of the Butler.

The Butler roars, foul black blood sprouts from its multiple wounds; yet it still stands, despite the combined onslaught. But the lesser Servants are defeated.
Initiative order:
13 Jingles
11 Butler, Servant #1, Servant #2
10 Albrecht, Elias
1 Sarrgul

Jingles giggles at their foe falling and indicates to the butler, the dark runes appearing above it's head. He then dashes across the room like a mad animal, stopping just short of the butlers reach. And lashes out with his whip, a thunderous sound coalescing around them.

Rolls

Booming Blade - (1d20+6)

(20) + 6 = 26

Weapon damage, Hex damage, Thunder on move - (1d4+4, 1d6, 1d8)

1d4+4 : (1) + 4 = 5

1d6 : (3) = 3

1d8 : (7) = 7

The Butler's monstrous roar is cut in half as Jingles' whip circles around his throat and yanks him to the floor.

The creature's body twitches involuntarily, in its death throes, then finally stops.

The black tendrils, however, still coil around the fallen Butler... They seem to "grow" straight out from its' body, protruding from the cuts and tears of its' tattered uniform. Sarrgul watches their movements with fascination.

In the silence that sets in after the arcane thunders and battlecries, Albrecht hears a shuffling from above: somebody (or something) on the floor above you was alerted by the noises, and moves away.
The room they are in is about 50 feet wide and at least a 100 long. There are no windows, but, since the ceiling of the room collapsed in places, some light seeps through from the levels above. On the opposite wall, there is another doorway, leading further. A closed wooden door is on the left wall. A row of cupboards line the right wall.
OOC:
Jingles rolled a Crit (natural 20), I'm adding the bonus 1d4 damage.

The group gains 550 XP for the encounter (137 XP each)!

Rolls

Jingles, Critical damage bonus - (1d4)

(3) = 3

Taking a moment to catch his breath, Albrecht circles around the corpses and still-flailing tendrils to reach the cupboard and search for anything of use he might pilfer. He will then also try to recover the crossbow bolt, if it can be found and is still usable, of course.

Rolls

Investigation (if needed instead) - (1d20+2)

(14) + 2 = 16

Perception - (1d20+3)

(3) + 3 = 6

Smiling to himself at the vanquished foes Sarrgul steps forward. Brothers I fear we have awoken the house, let's continue and try to keep our momentum moving forward
Dec 3, 2018 2:53 pm
"Yes, let us move on." Elias agrees, though he appears to be pretty badly wounded. "Which way?"

Albrecht recovers the crossbow bolt. It's still usable.

Most of the cupboards hold tablecloths, curtains, flags. The textiles are all tattered, dirty and burnt, but folded ideally, and stored in perfect order.

The last cupboard is a dining cabinet. There are stacks of broken and chipped china plates. Albrecht also finds three boxes of silverware: these might be of value, at least because of the material, but also because, as far the Highwayman can appraise, they are exquisitely worked.
Dec 5, 2018 9:11 am
Albrecht is well aware he cannot hope to carry the boxes of silverware around and fight with such baggage, let alone trying to be stealthy with all that stuff clanging about. Still, he might be able to make something out of this stash...
OOC:
Grabbing a handful of silver knives, at least one for each party member (minimum 4)
"Alright, anyone know how to patch up Elias?"

Jingle pats Elias on the back, You must admit that wanton slaughter was a lot fun. Golden light brightens his wounds for a moment, as it fades so to does his wounds.

Rolls

Cure Wounds - (1d8+4)

(7) + 4 = 11

Dec 5, 2018 11:07 am
"Slaughter for its own sake gives me no joy, Jingles. But I will not judge you for it. And you have my thanks for healing my hurts." Elias cinches tight the cilice worn on his upper arm, drawing fresh blood. "The work is great, but this flesh is weak."

Slaughter for profit seems to be the motivation here Brother Elias, profit and cleansing the land of corruption. Surely your spirit can rest easy with that knowledge.

Sarrgul smiles and what looks like a small worm like tendril moves under his skin, or maybe it's just a trick of the light.

We should press on Brothers with caution of course.

Crosses to the open doorway in the far wall and peeks through.

Rolls

Perception - (1d20)

(11) = 11

Dec 6, 2018 4:01 pm
Sarrgul gathers his strength and follows Elias to the doorway, Steel yourself Brother Elias, danger lurks everywhere.
Dec 6, 2018 9:50 pm
Albrecht takes to the shadows near the door, ready to jump at anything that might jump out of it.

Rolls

Stealth - (1d20+4)

(5) + 4 = 9

Dec 9, 2018 6:34 pm
The doorway opens into a transverse corridor. Elias carefully peeks out, and sees that the corridor leads to both right and left.

To the right side, the corridor goes on for about 40', then turns right.

To the left side, the corridor goes straight for as far as Elias can see, then drowns in darkness.

The walls and floors of the corridor are made of roughly hewn stones. There are no windows or light sources.

Post edited! Sorry, made a mistake in the original description, mixed up the corridors.
