Srisa makes a valiant effort to strike back at the large wooden lass, but can't seem to find any purchase, perhaps deterred slightly by the crackling lightning that seems to suffuse the figurehead's body. Miri sends a crackling ball of flame at the creature, and perhaps it sees the threat, because she pivots and lets it sail on by. Thankfully, Roscoe is firmly planted on the thing's shoulders, and he doesn't go sailing off during her dance of avoidance.
Suddenly, a shimmer of ice forms around the woman's legs, and those of you close up can see that the ice has managed to fill in some of the holes where wood used to be and has rejuvenated her somewhat!
Zale's swinging trap sails through the air, threatening to clobber her midsection. Reaching out one giant hand, she catches the boom and stares at Zale, eyes furious as her "brow" squeezes down, showing her displeasure.
Roscoe tries stabbing the woman, but can't quite find a mark as the flickering lightning distracts him just enough. The woman, now incensed, swings once for the tiny menace on her shoulder, and once more for Srisa!

From behind the group, on the ladder that led belowdecks, shouting starts up and six more pirates burst out, led by two exceptionally brawny goliaths brandishing wickedly curved axes. The pair charges, one at Srisa and one at Zeph, screaming a whooping warcry. Two of the other pirates draw their blades and take up guard positions, not wanting to engage anyone yet.
One of the pirates from earlier that resurfaced sees the mayhem and immediately dashes over and dives off the edge, his screams cut off as the sharks get to him.
The third goes to make a leap over to your ship, but trips and falls between the vessels with a splash.
