Altrix entered the raucous tavern, pulling his hood as far over his face as it would go, keeping his head down and darting between the legs of the other patrons. He let out a sigh as he saw the single table in the back of the room with heavy shadows cast across it, thanks to the roaring fire. He made his way towards the table and he seemed almost clumsy, bumping into a number of patrons and a one point tripping and falling onto a table. Altrix apologised hastily to the owners of the table and continued on his way. Reaching his table, he reached into his cloak and pulled out a number of coin purses freshly cut from the belts of their owners. As he placed his order, he idly flipped a foreign coin between his fingers, with a grin on his scaly face. In short order, his meal arrived and the meat was so rare that it was still bloody. As he ate, he surveyed the other patrons and he was disappointed when very little caught his eye.

As he ate, his thoughts turned to why he had come to this town. Perhaps this would finally be the town? His mind drifted back to when Garu had cast him out of the warren, bloodied and beaten. The King had decried him as an abomination because of the colour of his scales, though if Altrix was honest with himself his constant pranks against his warren mates had probably not helped his cause. As he thought about the King, his claws clenched and he let a faint growl. There would come a day when Altrix would slip a blade between his ribs and it was a day he was looking forward to. After he had been cast out, he moved from city to city following the same pattern wherever he went. He would set up a bolt hole and emerge at night to steal whatever he needed and whatever took his fancy.

The tavern door being flung open boldly pulled Altrix from his thoughts. An aquamarine tiefling that was richly dressed made their way into the bar and began to speak with the bartender in hushed tones. Altrix realised that this was some sort of travelling musician. He had already been run out of one town and lost almost everything, he didn't need it to happen here, especially when this was the most solid lead he had in months but the urge was almost overpowering. As his internal debate raged, he kept his eyes affixed on the tiefling. He was up out of his chair and making his way towards the figure before he had even registered the golden ring with a small ruby on his finger. Once again, he tripped as he approached the Tiefling and grabbed his hand on the way down, slipping the ring from his finger and hurriedly making his way from the tavern.

When he arrived back in his bolt hole, that was strewn with detritus, much of it worthless he began viewing the ring. After a few moments, he growled and threw it in the corner. The ring was a fake, no doubt worn for appearance sake. As he settled down to sleep, Altrix was glad that at the very least, he had slipped the stolen coin purses into the musician's possession on the way out the door and had a quiet word to the bouncer. That should make his night plenty interesting. Altrix grinned widely as he drifted off to sleep.

Do you know you can post with an avatar? Just at the top of the Quick Reply dialog box where you enter your post, there is a Post As: drop down box where you can select your character. It them adds your characters avatar to the post, like I've down here with a Town Guard.

Note: this only works if you have uploaded an avatar to a character sheet submitted to and accepted into the game.

Trev Flameborn walks into town. This is his first time in a town in the past six months. Trev is a 6’ 6" Red scales behemoth of a humanoid. Trev is an outlander he wanders from place to place searching for a place to live that is peaceful.
Trev heard tell there was a dragon terrorizing this village and wants to help out. When He arrives he learns that the dragon has not been around. Being Dragonborn he is scorned by some people because of his ancestry so when he hears about a dragon he pursues it until he finds it and conquers it.

Review of Altrix

-There's a spot for your Initiative bonus near Armor Class: record as +5
-Weapon damage: you should on the sheet note that your rapier, bow, club, and handaxe do +5 damage (Dex bonus as they have the Light property)
-Note: wearing scale mail gives you Disadvantage on stealth. Also scale mail limits your AC to 16 not 19 (AC 14 + max +2 Dex bonus)

Other than that, he looks good to go

Review of Hasan Slice

- check STR and CON for your saves, otherwise looks good

Review of Ruby

-You indicated a Lightfoot Hafling and indicated the Lightfoot racial ability Naturally Stealthy, but used the racial Con bump for a Stout instead of a CHA bump for a Lightfoot
-You choose Survival as a skill, but that wasn't an option for you. Did you mean to click Stealth?

Rest looks good

Review of Iathos

-the Sage background gives you two more languages
-Keep track of your spell slots somewhere, in the Notes, or as an ability: something like "Spell Slots, lvl 1: 2/2"
-I'm not sure which Otherworldly Patron you chose. Please indicate.
-You have three cantrips instead of two. Was the third a boon from your patron?

Other than those, good to go

Review of Trev Flameborn

-Please indicate which ancestry you took? Brass, Gold, or Red. That also affects the shape of your breath weapon.
-You have two too many Skill Proficiency. You get Athletics, Survival from Outlander, and two from Barbarian
- I'm not sure where the Alert ability comes from. Could you point that out?
-I'm not sure how you start with Speed 40. Could you also point that out to me?

The Alert feat is a barbarian feat and a barbarian gains an extra 10feet of movement speed.

I have made the required changes and have swapped the Scale Mail for Studded Leather. Is my AC now 17 (12 + Dex Mod)? From what I understand it doesn't give me disadvantage on stealth either?

Alright, this character is recycled (Cave and I think Camp will recognize them) so some stuff got left in or glossed over, will fix it all up. For the Con bump I put +1 to my WIS and the +2 to DEX, while leaving my natural 14 for CON.

Inside the kitchen stands a Halfling over a large pot brewing with a stew. With long brown hair, tan skin tones, and clothes which look more suited for a tundra then a kitchen in Allaya's Cove. Pouring in the chunks of fresh goat meat with just a pinch of salt Ruby reflects on her position. It's true she wasn't expecting to remain in the settlement for so long, but the chance to have a proper roof over her head in such far lands coupled with the job of practicing her craft was too much to pass. Has it truly been two months since she was separated from her teacher, two months since she was told it was time for her to discover the world?

"Soup's done! Somebody bring me a pint would ya?" Regardless she was happy with her circumstances, Allaya's Cove provided intrigue, and these rumblings of a dragon has caught her ear.

I see that a Barbarian gains Fast Movement at fifth level, but not at first. I don't see how a Dragonborn gets a feat at first level, either. Could you provide a page reference for these?

@somebox: Ruby is good!

@whistler: right, studded leather does not provoke Disadvantage on Stealth, so that's a better choice for you. For your weapons, the intent of the Attack Bonus box is what you add to a d20. For you, that is +7 (i.e., to hit) which comes from +2 (Proficiency Bonus since you are proficient with the weapons) +5 more for your Dexterity since the weapons are either Ranged or Light. The Damage box on the sheet is what you roll for damage. So instead of 1d8 for a rapier, put 1d8+5 (again, you add the Dexterity bonus to damage for Ranged or Light weapons). You can keep the (P) for piercing, add that is also useful information.

I’ll pull them off no biggie I use the internet for most of my character building. I haven’t bought the 5 players handbook yet

Ahh, that makes sense. In D&D 3/3.5, every character got a feat at first level and I think that Barbarians did get Fast Movement right away. Not the case in 5e. They made feats much more powerful, and harder to get in this edition.
