Julian interrupts Alain's tangent with
"Yes, yes, Alain. Write it down and I'll read it later.", knowing full well that he likely wouldn't. The bard had made a fair point, though he found the likelihood of an ambush at either end of the journey unlikely. The cave was well concealed, and their position atop the hill afforded them a fair view of their surroundings; however, the area around the cave was less well explored, and had the potential to be more dangerous. Julian makes another judgment call.
"I will first take Ælfric, One of Korgazhar's men, Gurtrek, their mounts, Fernal who is horseless, and Ligeia. I trust Alain, Korgazhar, and his remaining men will not draw attention to themselves in the meantime." Once everyone has agreed to the plan, Julian will teleport the first group to the cave. He will also explain the cave's location in as much detail possible in the event someone needs that information.
OOC:
@DM: I have an object associated with the cave in the form of rock chippings gathered from the cave wall, so there should be no chance of failure... I hope... I'll include the d100 roll in the event you rule differently. After bringing the first group, I'll fly back to the remaining group as an normal eagle (I haven't been a giant eagle any of these times, to clarify), using polymorph a third time. I will then teleport the remainder of the group. Since Fernal has no mount, this should be sufficient to get all creatures in the party to the cave.
@Fernal & Alian: Can we summon that mount for Fernal when we get to the cave, so I don't have to perform more shenanigans with teleport?
