Korgazhar nodded, but was ready for action at the first sign of trouble.

Julian had expended much of the day's magic. He would be ready to stop anyone who went for the gong, but hoped his allies would make that unnecessary.
OOC:
This horse is so stealthy. Julian, on the other hand... Thank god for Pass Without Trace. XD

OOC:
Actions? I updated the map to have Julian by the table along the south end of the room, about 20' from the cell-block door.

"Should I try the door?" Ælfric asked. "We rush in, I use my ghost grip to move the striker away from the gong, and quickly slaughter them."
Apr 26, 2019 3:02 am
Kill them easy. She has her rapier ready for the moment he opens the door. She plans to move with stealth to get a good surprise attack on them.
Apr 26, 2019 1:30 pm
Korgazhar nodded again in assent, his glaive will afford him the reach required to swfitly disbowel the bugbear.
Apr 27, 2019 5:20 pm
Julian experienced a brief moment of Déjà vu. Somehow, he knew they would be successful. "Ready"
Apr 28, 2019 10:10 pm
Aelfric grasps the handle of the door, and pulls it toward him. The door sticks for a brief moment, giving him pause that it might be too heavy for this thin frame to open, but with a bit more force the door breaks free.

Movement: Normal
Time In Steading: 30 minutes
OOC:
Initiative for everyone. Aelfric, please roll a stealth check to determine if you surprise the guards. I am going to try and update your time in the dungeon in order to account for spells expiring.
Apr 28, 2019 10:55 pm
Rolling Initiative.
OOC:
We've really been in the steading for half an hour? :O

Rolling initiative for Ligeia as well. Though she likely won't do much during this fight, I control her in combat according to the spell.

Aelfric bursts through the door, followed immediately by Korghazar and Fernal. The bugbears within are startled, giving cries of surprise even as they move to wield their weapons. One reaches for a javelin, the other hefts a massive, spiked morningstar.
OOC:
Everyone can act, but potentially the bugbears may get a reaction to Fernal's attack.

Aelfric 24
Ligeia 18
Korgazhar 17
Julian 14
Bugbear 12

Ælfric quickly assessed the situation in the room, focusing on the gong and striker. He manifested his invisible hand to push the striker far into the nearest cell, away from the bugbears!
OOC:
If this isn't a viable option, Ælfric will attack the first bugbear.
Apr 30, 2019 4:32 am
OOC:
The cells are barred, so the striker will not fit into a cell. However, the striker and gong are right to the right of the guards, so you could move it toward the back of the cell block. From your spot, you could move it 5' away from the guard without having to move yourself. If you move then cast (or vice versa) you can move it further toward the back depending on your own movement.
Apr 30, 2019 4:43 am
OOC:
If it's possible to move the striker outside instead, I'll do that. I think I should be able to get it past Fernal.
Apr 30, 2019 4:44 am
Korgazhar understood Aelfric's action, and held his attack until he had successfully secured the gong from sounding off. With that done, the half-orc rushed into the cell corridor, lunging at the further bugbear with the long reach of his glaive.
OOC:
Korgazhar will move to the square in front of the gong and attack the inner bugbear. I'm intending to kill that bugbear with all of Korgazhar's attacks, so if the attacks land, I'm using Orcish Fury (once per short rest) which says 'when you hit with an attack, you can roll one of the weapon's damage dice an additional time and add it as extra damage." Shall we rule this to work like your rule for crit hits, just double the damage roll for the successful hit, ok?

OOC:
I'd like to wait and see if Korgazhar has slain the bugbear before acting, if that's possible without losing my turn.

Definitely, as he comes before you anyway.
