My only other encounter with a demon lord was playing H4: Throne of Bloodstone with my high school buds back in the 80's. It wasn't easy, bur party of 16th level adventurers took Orcus down. It was epic!

Honestly, "Leemooggoogoon" didn't jump out at me until you called it, even though of course I'm aware that this campaign eventually leads to Demogorgon and who knows what else.



And yeah, that imagery on the altar! But heck, I didn't think the Prince of Demons would actually show up so soon! Holy crap! I would have Mai'ngor make a run for it, maybe dragging Jimjar along. But I assume he failed his CHA save so I don't know if he can move or not.

Wait, that's the actual adventure book cover? I need to visit my game store more often.

Yep, it's not a huge surprise that he shows up, but I was not expecting an appearance so soon in the game.

What can I roll to see how to fight or defend against that thing?

You pretty much know that this thing would crush you like a fly. You could exhaust all of your power and not even catch this thing's notice, you are so far beneath it in terms of power.

How does crossbow into melee work?

The enemy may have cover, but it's nothing you need to worry about calculating. That's all done on my end
