[Gameplay] Part 1: The Lottery & Tomb of Akhentepi

The secret opens and you find a narrow rough tunnel. The inside of the secret door is obvious that it is a door.

In contrast to the rest of the tomb, this rough earthen passage is not lined with masonry. At various points along the tunnel, sections of the walls have crumbled, as if something had dug small tunnels in the walls that subsequently collapsed.

This tunnel turns twice and ends at the secret door that Jabari wanted to smash through. Again, it is obvious on the inside-side how to open it, and that first one can only be opened from the secret side.

There is nothing of interest in the tunnel, nor any explanation for why it exists.

Quick thoughts seem to indicate that the possibly trapped double doors in the other room is the only way forward. I can only see one way forward. She retreats back to the double doors and awaits the party to get there.

There are the doors at the bottom of the stairs by you (see top left of map for an unexplored room), the trapped double door, or a pair of double doors back in the mirror room.

Hmm. I will check the room below here for secret door and such before tackling the possible trapped doors. She turns and heads down the stairs carefully the bottom room. She is overly careful here. She like to take the time and do a fine tooth combing of the room for goods, traps, and possible secret doors.

This room holds several neatly arrayed chests, boxes, and urns. The dust of centuries covers every surface. The only exit is a set of stone double doors to the south.

There is a magical trap on the middle of the right hand wall. Sasha, without touching it, is able to determine that spot is also a secret door.

The items in the room are funerary goods, meant to accompany Akhentepi to the afterlife. Some of it had obviously spoiled but but among the spoiled and ruined grave goods are several salvageable items of value, including two vials of silversheen, a masterwork longbow, 10 cold iron arrows, a gold scarab clasp worth 50 gp, an onyx and silver holy symbol of Pharasma worth 100 gp, a silver hand mirror worth 35 gp, and a wax-sealed clay urn of nard worth 75 gp.

Jabari wouldn't admit it out loud but he liked being behind Sasha because of her trap finding abilities. And now it seems the threats would be worth it. Such bounteous treasure awaited them!

Sashsa would hand off the goods to Jabari to carry as obviously weight is her enemy. There is a magical trap in front of that secret door. she says points out the secret door. Perhaps we can try to throw something at it to activate it at a distance as I'm not sure I can deal with it being magical.

Sasha could attempt to disarm it. Failure by too much or a margin may set it off so you can't take 20.

Prepare for the worst as I try to disarm it. She tries to keep herself as much to the right side of the trap panel hard against the wall as she attempts to disarm it.

Sasha almost had it, but the trap goes off. In a magical swirl, a swarm of FLESH EATING COCKROACHES.

The flesh eating appellation has not yet been proven, and it may be judgemental of the adventure authors too judge them so stereotypically.

The three of you slash about with your weapons, but they do no discernable affect on the tiny creatures.

Her initial moment of panic passed, and seeing how little the party is able to accomplish with weapons, Avaline grabs for a torch and tries to burn the bugs away.
