The torches seem like they may do a little damage, but the attacks miss thick enough concentrations to really have done anything.

Perhaps oil would help?

Recall that you find some Alchemists Fire at the bottom of the entrance way on the dead thief.

Ack. Thought left those but didn't. LOL. Looks to have taken my backpack up instead. Sure she let loose one or two if she can.

Awesome, you can throw one per round, and that will be an automatic hit, you're hitting the ground just a few feet in front of you. Roll 1d6 damage. The swarm will have to make DC 15 Reflex saves to avoid continuing 1d6 damage each round.

The swarm surrounds Bennekheb.

Ok, maybe my third attempt will finish it off. Something's got to give. Jabari lights a third torch and flings into the vile skittering roaches.

Critical! Double damage! Alchemists Fire!

With the 7 damage done already, that is 26 fire damage total so far (being generous with the torch damage, sure, but I'm okay with that) eliminates the threat of the swarm.
