You've uncovered his Flaw, which is that he has a thin skin (and thus rankles at insults).

Bruv has Heal magic and can give it a try himself when the time comes. No need to make your check more difficult.

Finding it without his help will be an Average (PP) Knowledge (Forbidden) check. But no roll required if you instead want to get closer and let him tell you where the page is. (This latter option will take more time, which is ticking.)

Just an idea: Nera can try to scout out how extensive the tunnels are if she wants. Just requires her to find a stick or something (her bow even) and pound on the ground listening for hollow areas. Call it a Hard (PPP) Perception check.

Hard (PPP) Knowledge (Forbidden) check to try to decipher the incantation; one other PC can help, offering a boost, if you can justify it narratively. Remember you can also try a Hard (PPP) Vigilance check to see if this guy is BS'ing you.

Note about runestones: These have two uses: 1) Anyone (magic user or not) can activate a runestone for one specified effect. This one seems to relate to Ynfernael gates, so I'll leave it up to you if you want to try it. 2) Characters who have the Runes skill can use runestones as an implement to make their spell casting easier; they act like wands and tomes in that they make certain spell effects easier to use. Again, there's no way to know what this one does unless you get it identified somehow.

I will also note that there may be many other ways to close the gate than to do what he tells you, but you'll have to get creative!

Really? no successes? :( Anyway, I can use the advantage to give a bonus to the next PC trying vigilance (that's a +BBPPP). Something like Vizeron is unsettled by the halfcat attitude (on top of the Durvin-style bullying) so it's easier to read?

And of I'm still under the Effects of Fear, is like to add that Diff to try to remove it.

Yeesh, you gotta be kidding me... Well, I can't use Advantage on this check to heal Strain from this check, correct? Can I give a Boost to Holiday with them, as the residual positive energy from my channeling if primal energies gives him strength and surety in the face of his daunting task?
