Carrie's crooked don't feel bad about self defense. Max states as Duke moves in with Max following for a Pincer attack.

Seeing the masked goons piling on Guy, Hank charges forward into them. Their attention is briefly attracted by Max when they realize he's a cop, so Hank uses the distraction to knock one of them out cold before sending an elbow into another man's gut.

Before they return the favor, Hank shouts to the Pantones, "Now's your chance folks! Show this crooked cop and her cronies why you don't mess with Rumble City!"

Using the 3 passed-on boosts from Max, and coming in with a punch.

That's 6 damage before soak. I'll use 4 advantages to activate a crit and drop one of the minions, and pass one boost to the next PC.

The burly man stares Duke in the eye as the dog sinks his teeth into the enforcer's calf. The man frantically tries to shake the animal loose, dazing the pooch a bit, but opening Max up for a roundhouse punch. The blow hits the man square in the chest, but he seems to be wearing some sort of thick vest. He just smiles and laughs.

Not laughing are the two masked goons that Hank wallops with his meaty fists. The janitor hits them like a jackhammer, knocking one guy into the spinning car, where he collies with a thunk, and smacking another in his masked chin.

Max didn't add the boost for flanking (Duke counts). Let's just call it another boost for Guy, so he's up with two boosts passed.

Diving from the car and getting bashed by a thug has driven Guy to the brink of exhaustion. His only hope is one last roundhouse kick to clear out some of these mooks before they overwhelm him.

Guy's well-timed kick takes a masked figure right in the chin, the blow landing just as the car crashes into the opposite wall of the warehouse floor. The collision knocks over tables and shelves, sending tools, implements, bottles, and who knows what else scattering across the floor. As Guy regains his balance, he sees two masked thugs squirming or still on the floor, and only two more on their feet.

So, assuming Guy stood up before kicking, there shouldn't have been a setback on the check. That leaves you with 1 Success, 3 Advantage. Lucky Strike adds +3 damage. You narrated a roundhouse kick, but your best attack in this instance is probably Knee, so just to keep things balanced, we can use those stats. Total damage is 8, with Pierce 2.

3 Advantage isn't enough to crit, but you can trigger Knockdown or Disorient if you want. Or something else?

Also, is Guy out of painkillers? If you're at threshold, healing should be high on your priority list! If you don't have any painkillers, the 3 advantage could be used to spot some nearby, so I've narrated you a possibility for that.

Hank also has some painkillers and we're right next to each other, so the action could have easily knocked them out of his pocket.

Setback was for my Duelist talent which is applied whenever I'm not fighting 1v1. I dont have any painkillers. If I miss due to the setback I'll use the advantages to grab painkillers from Hank or something.

Yeah, I can see some GMs ruling that Duelist doesn't apply versus minion groups (since it specifies "multiple opponents"), but let's run it as working in this case. We're trying to let y'all go out as Big Damn Heroes!

The various hostages only slowly seem to realize that they're free. But maybe the drizzle pattering on the pavement outside awakens them to the fact. A few people step outside gingerly, but then it's a rush as they all flee the scene. Tasha's Pantone helpers try to usher those who need medical attention to the safety of their van. Others just make a run for it.

Meanwhile, the masked ruffians size up the bigger Hank after the pummeling he gave them. They seem unsure, but then one of them takes a swing with the lead pipe, followed by his only remaining comrade.

The masked men fail to connect, as Hank weaves between the pipes. But the Slavic fellow fighting Max seems to get an idea. "These help is no good this days, yes?" he grins. "This is how to do!" The guy has brass knuckles on, and they smart. Max feels himself losing his balance, and he falls to the ground, twisting his shoulder as he does so.

That's 8 damage to Max before soak. He'll activate Knockdown with 2 advantage, inflicting +3 wounds (unsoaked) for his "street fighter" ability. 3rd advantage is +1 strain to Max.

Suddenly, Max sees a shadow fall over his prone body. Looking up, he sees a tall, muscular form silhouetted against the bright LEDs that illuminate the warehouse. A shock of red hair tells him it's Fatima Doubloon, leader of the Pantones. "Hey! One-Two boys!" Her voice is just as sultry as it sounded over the loudspeakers at the drive-in. "You do not want to let that guy do whatever it is he's doing in there." She turns to the burly man looming over Max. "As for you, Dmitri? I've been waiting to do this..." She makes her fist into an approximation of a claw and strikes the enforcer square in the chest. The big man plops down on the ground, flat on his back mere inches away from Max...

Max body gives ground as his hands continue deflecting the blow as it comes in alleviating most of the damage. He still hits hard. As the man lands next to him a growl is heard as Duke's lips curl back as he goes for the Russian. Max stands and starts in on the man, "I'd usually feel bad about this but Stop Resisting!!!" he notices something goes flying and the process gets him back a second wind.
