"MORE OF TH-" is all the dwarf manages to get out before Octavia's spear rushes through the air and sticks itself deeply into his broad chest finding a gap in his armour. He coughs up a big glob of blood before keeling over dead.

Kirsk slams his warhammer into the shoulder of the nearest cultist, who curses and instantly tries to retaliate with his sword. He manages to cut into the half-orcs arm, but he looks very hurt. The second cultist goes after Kel and despite her lightening reflexes manages to hit her as well. Octavia deftly dodges the third cultists wild strike.

Kel staggers the cultist with a swift punch, finds a gap in his armour and stabs her sword into his side before delivering a kick to the hilt of the sword to bury it deeper within his torso. As the cultist falls dead to the ground, Kel grabs the hilt and easily pulls the sword out, readying herself for further combat.

Attack - (1d20+5)

(5) + 5 = 10

May 26, 2020 1:42 pm
Octavia draws here mace. It had not been blessed by Gond this morning, like her spear, but it still had cracked a few heads in it's time. She follows up on the same cultist, Kirsk tried to hit, hoping he couldn't avoid two blows.

Rolls

1d20+5, 1d6+3

1d20+5 : (9) + 5 = 14

1d6+3 : (5) + 3 = 8

May 26, 2020 3:43 pm
Kirsk swings with his warhammer and the cultist ducks, but it opens him up for Olivia to swing her mace forcefully down onto his back. He looks extremely hurt like the other guy, but he’s still alive. He tries a desperate swing against Kirsk, but his back is clearly not right and it’s very simple for Kirsk to simply sidestep the blow. The other cultist however screams in rage as he takes advantage of Octavia being momentarily distracted to swing down hard and leave a big bleeding gash in her shoulder.
OOC:
Zach is up and then 3 of you. Both cultists are very close to death

OOC:
Sorry, been busy, thanks for taking control for me Sass.
The young wizard raises his book behind his head and opens it.

His index finger points accusatively at one of the cultists.

Your excessive actions have caused suffering to this town. May your death bring you peace and redemption for your actions

Saying this, the same macabre, high-pitched sound echoes from the surroundings.
OOC:
Nevermind the ray of Sickness, gonna cast Toll the dead.
OOC:
Edit: That damage oof

Toll the dead damage - (1d12)

(2) = 2

May 26, 2020 5:01 pm
The cultist that Zachary points at clasps his hands to his ears and drops screaming to his knees. You see blood starts pouring out of them as well as from his eyes as his scream fades into a gasp and he keels over dead.
OOC:
Might not be much but it’s enough for these guys. Round 3 starts, 1 extremely hurt guy remaining.
May 26, 2020 5:06 pm
Octavia hisses at the pain, but doesn't taking advantage of the close distance between her and the cultist to try and land a blow.

Rolls

Mace - (1d20+5, 1d6+3)

1d20+5 : (10) + 5 = 15

1d6+3 : (3) + 3 = 6

May 26, 2020 5:12 pm
Octavia swings her mace upwards and catches the last cultist square on the jaw. His head snaps violently backwards and he falls limply to the ground. All is now quiet apart from the intermittent thud from the other side of the temple.
OOC:
Out of combat
May 26, 2020 7:37 pm
Kirsk lowers his warhammer and looks at the carnage around him... "Well fought everybody... " He looks up at the billowing smoke, "Quick, to the church..." and Kirsk runs to the front door.
May 26, 2020 7:59 pm
OOC:
So you’re going to the front of the church? If you are, are you stealthing?
May 26, 2020 8:29 pm
OOC:
I thought we were fighting right next to the doors?
May 26, 2020 8:39 pm
OOC:
Ah okay. It’s because you said front door and you’re at the back door, so got a bit confused 🙂
You walk through the smoke and move over to the back door. You see that the cultists really did do a terrible job at trying to start a fire. They’ve stacked to bales of hay up against the door, but the hay looks too wet to ever really catch on and even now you can’t really see any embers. It’s still producing a fair bit of smoke though. The door itself is solid wood and despite a few small scorch marks it looks relatively unscathed.
May 26, 2020 9:47 pm
Zachary shakes the soot from his robe and turns to see his companions.

It is not the type of activity I am used to but I am happy to help the team.

Zachary walks to the doors and examines them. He finds the work done to make the door fascinating, but he is more fascinated by how to open it.

Maybe it has a trick or something ...
OOC:
I wanna check if there's something with the door, some way to open it without destroying it
May 26, 2020 11:48 pm
OOC:
Gotcha, sorry, I thought we were at the front...

Kirsk quickly runs to the back door. Seeing the wet bales of hay he moves them away from the door but doesn't try to put them out. "If they still smoke, it may cover what we are doing. If there are others and they don't see the smoke they may come and check."

"That is wise. We want to try to draw as little attention as possible." Kel mutters as she looks for a window to peek into the church's interior.
OOC:
I don't understand what all these crits are about, but I'm not going to complain.
