Kel nods, but as Kirsk is leaving, adds her thoughts to the plan. "Perhaps think of a reason why we would already have uniforms, if we're looking to join the cult."

Kirsk, you nod to your allies and walk towards the campfire. "WHY DON’T YOU LIKE CRISPY SKIN!? YOU HEATH-", the cultists stop in their tracks as you approach. "Whoa, hold on…I thought we were the last ones?...and why are you wearing that!? I thought we’re supposed to be incognito!". As you get closer you realise that they’re wearing black leather armour, but not the tunics that they were wearing during the raid. You also notice that the four humans aren't wearing their weapons, they are all placed up against a rock a good 20 feet away.

Kirsk, give me a deception check with disadvantage. I'm off to bed in a minute, so just going to post. I'm assuming that you're wearing your disguise. IF you truthfully can say that you weren't, then ignore the disadvantage and just give me a straight up deception check ;)

Kirsk looks at the others and then down at his tunic... quickly taking it off and looking around"What do you mean, I've walked all the way from Norisbridge up north to join the looting did I miss it?"

Oof, ignoring a nat 20 is rough luck! Just for future reference, perception checks are your friends...well, unless you roll poorly in which case they might not be...but still 😁
Kirsk, you see the guy you’re talking to glances towards his weapons and takes a step back. His words seethe with contempt as he makes a small motion with his right hand towards his comrades who casually (or so they believe) walk towards the weapon pile. "Do you really think we’re that stupid! This was organised to the last inch, everyone who were supposed to be in Greenest, were in Greenest! You don’t miss the biggest raid we’ve ever done! Who are you!?".

Rolling initiative. On the cultists’ turn they will move and arm themselves which will take a turn. I’ll say the rest of you are about 30 feet away. On their turn they’ll of course move about 20 feet further away which means that only Kirsk would be able to reach them for a melee attack after that. The kobolds will run away into a nearby crevice in the plateau on their turn. So you can all in theory use your turns and I’ll write it up tomorrow.

The frostbite hits one of the kobolds, but all it manages to do is make him drop the chicken drumstick he was about to eat. The kobolds all turn to look and realise that they’re in a fight. They don’t look thrilled to be in one.

The cultists all quickly run over to their swords and turn to face Kirsk.

'Shit. Plan b it is' Octavia starts running even as she curses. The cultists were already backing up, but the kobolds wee a little slower, so she charges at one, thrusting her spear.

Octavia, you thrust your spear through the throat of one of the kobolds. The rest see this and they look like they want no part in this, they all turn tail and run into a crevice in the rocky plateau and disappear out of sight. The cultists swear loudly as they realise that the numbers have been evened up.

Kel, not one to be left out of the fun, leaps from their position and charges the nearest cultist. Her feet carry her swiftly, and her sword slashes even more so.

Unfortunately Kel, they’re too far away for you to reach even with a speed of 40 ft. They were about 30 ft from you, but moved a further 20 ft away to get their weapons. Do you just want to use a dash action to approach? Or you can go 40 ft and use your dart?

The cultist tries to check your blow with his sword but he fails and your spear buried deep into his shoulder. He tries to retaliate and the other three try to attack Kel and Kirsk, but you easily deflect their blows.

Kirsk swings his warhammer into the head of the cultist that Octavia stabbed. You hit him with enough force so that your hammer continues into the shoulder of the one standing next to him. The first cultist falls dead to the ground, blood pouring from his shattered skull.
