A very 'literate' reference for a Ranger! Call me 'Guy' ;-)

OOC:
Oh geez, that was a good hit...
Severus rushes up to the Bugbear from behind and swings his great axe. It's blade sinks deeply into the monster's side, burying itself through it's kidney and stopping just short of the spinal column. Klarg give's a grunt of pain, having been taken unawares, and blood gushes out of his side as Severus withdraws the axe. The bugbear lives, though whether that be the case in an hour is another story.
Klarg turns and eyes Severus with surprise and anger and swings his morning star.
OOC:
Oh, you lucky dog... Klarg is doing TERRIBLE this fight!
He swings his weapon and it sails past Severus's face, whiffing and realizing he may be in dire straights.
OOC:
Round 2 continues! Turn order is as follows:
1. Severus (21)
2. Klarg (18)
--> 3. Osvaldo (16)
4. Bug (15)
5. Ripper (14)
6. Alstaer (13)
7. Goblins (7)

Rolls

Klarg Attack roll, Damage roll - (1d20+4, 2d8+2)

1d20+4 : (6) + 4 = 10

2d8+2 : (42) + 2 = 8

Osvaldo narrows his eyes and shoots an arrow at Yeemik, looking to land a killing blow so as to save Sildar.
OOC:
going to use the Sharpshooter feat to add +10 damage, with -5 to hit. Will also spend my inspiration point on this.
OOC:
welp, that sucked

OOC:
Osvaldo, what have you done? I turned on Klarg to save Sildar

OOC:
Severus, well aware. Osvaldo's hatred for goblins runs deep. It was a risk he was willing to take, hoping to be able to hit and finish him, w. advantage, seeing as he's already hurt with the firebolt. But thems the dice rolls.

OOC:
If you used your Inspiration Point on this attack, shouldn't you have Advantage? I only see one die roll.
Mar 13, 2021 8:52 pm
OOC:
odd, I did. I rolled a 9 on my regular attack and a natty 1 with the inspiration.
OOC:
but I can certainly reroll the inspiration if you need me to.

Rolls

Inspiration reroll - (1d20)

(2) = 2

Mar 14, 2021 12:37 am
OOC:
welp, I tried.
Mar 14, 2021 7:50 pm
OOC:
Ah, I misread the Crit 1 as a Damage roll.
Osvaldo fires his bow at Yeemik, who manages to duck the arrow. Surprise register's across his face, followed by a second of confusion as Klarg's second in command tries to figure out just exactly where your alliance lies, followed by a nasty look indicating you've just cost the beaten man his life.
OOC:
Yeemick is the last in the turn order, so Bug and Alstaer still have a chance to attack before he can attempt to kill Sildar.
Mar 17, 2021 7:00 pm
OOC:
It’s Bug’s turn, right?
Mar 17, 2021 8:20 pm
OOC:
Yep, bug's next then the wolf Ripper
.
Mar 18, 2021 1:49 am
Bug's eyes dart back and forth amongst the chaos. Everyone seems to be an enemy, but seeing the intention of Yeemik, Bug makes his decision, dashing over with both blades at the ready.
OOC:
Sorry all, been a little hectic here and lost track of my turn! Should be good, for the time being anyway!

Rolls

Attack (main hand) - (1d20+5)

(12) + 5 = 17

Attack (off hand) - (1d20+5)

(13) + 5 = 18

Damage (main) - (1d4+3)

(4) + 3 = 7

Damage (off) - (1d4)

(2) = 2

Sneak Attack - (1d6)

(2) = 2

Mar 19, 2021 12:36 am
Klarg nearly reacts to Bug's charge with a morning star to the little gnome's skull but seeing at the last minute that Bug is running for Yeemik, he checks himself at the last minute. Meanwhile, the rush catches Yeemik off-guard and before he can raise his scimitar to defend himself, Bug has struck the goblin with a series of slices any of which would have ended the goblin betrayer. Yeemik falls to his knees and bleeds to death, to a guffaw from Klarg.

Ripper, in an effort to please and protect its master, bites at Yeemik's only surviving henchman. The goblin is so absorbed with watching his leader die he never sees the attack coming and after grabbing the goblin by the throat, he shakes the life out of the creature and leaves him on the floor dead as well.

Alstaer will hold his action, he will attack Klarg with a fire bolt if he or his wolf attacks us
Mar 22, 2021 7:52 pm
OOC:
Alstaer hold his Action to see what Klarg's reaction to Yeemik's death will be. There are no further gablins to take a turn so Round 2 ends, Round 3 begins! Turn order is as follows:
--> 1. Severus (21)
2. Klarg (18)
3. Osvaldo (16)

The barbarian realises that unless he can slay Klarg with the next swing of his Great Axe, his end approaches....

(14) + 5 = 19

Damage (if applicable) - (1d12+3)

(4) + 3 = 7

Mar 26, 2021 6:38 pm
Another blow with his great have penetrates the bugbear's defenses and Klatg gives a grunt of pain. He still stands and raises his morningstar to bludgeon Severus, but first Alstaer responds with a Fire Bolt attack he was sitting on.
OOC:
Alstaer held his Action last round and may now use it before Klarg can make his attack.
Mar 26, 2021 7:42 pm
Alstaer sees Klarg’s intent and quickly releases his fire bolt.

Alstaer's Fire Bolt surges across the room and just barely misses Klarg's face, and Klarg follows with a swing at Severus head with his morning star. The weapon strikes Severus in the temple and the barbarian topples to the ground unconscious.
OOC:
Oof, just barely got him. Death Saves for Severus, for the next several rounds.

Round 3 continues! Turn order is as follows:
1. Severus (21)
2. Klarg (18)
--> 3. Osvaldo (16)
4. Bug (15)
5. Ripper (14)
6. Alstaer (13)
