As far as rolling up doubles, that's totally up to you guys. I have no problem with you running two PCs if you want. That would put the party back at six, plus whatever hirelings you drum up, you'd have a pretty decent fighting force, though XP division might be ugly.

If you want a second PC, feel free to roll one up in the character creation threads using OSE rules in your posts.
Just as with your current characters, feel free to make three sets of rolls and choose your preferred set, the other two can be set aside for later if needed.

@Dom, what's the difference between a Dwarf and a Dwarf Fighter? I figured they'd be the same.

There is an OSE Advanced Rules pdf out there that gives additional classes (Barbarian, Bard, Assassin, etc.) as well as rules for races to be used as in later editions of the game VS the race as class situation typical of BECMI dnd. That's how Mal is a dwarven cleric and not just a dwarf.

Right, I get how it works. But isn't a Dwarf Fighter really the same as a Dwarf, but with very slightly different saving throws? Or am I missing something there?

So when you use dwarf as a race instead of a race as class you get attribute bonuses and minuses.

And I'm all about those bonuses.

I was thinking of making an elf instead to make use of a dex bonus and build an elven fighter with great AC... But then multiple dwarves and a cranky wizard AND a halfling... C'mon.

I guess either way it ends up Tolkien.

But I can't have that +1 Cha with Luban the Unlucky and his 5 Cha. That's the cornerstone of his character!

Any restrictions we should take into account? Drow, Duergar, half Orc, deep gnomes come to mind! We’ve been pretty vanilla so far!

I've created Luban the Unlucky, Half-Orc Thief. His CHA isn't nearly as low as I'd like, but them's the breaks. Interested in seeing what KCC throws together, since Gilly has been such a great character!

KCC got some great rolls, sky's the limit!
