Gimblyn focuses is illusionary magic to create duplicates of himself. With minimal finesse, the small forest gnome split into three. "Hehehe, I swear three is better than just one me!" The three danced around amused by themselves then skipped forward to the front lines.
OOC:
Casting Mirror Image and moving forward to the front line

Rolls

Magic surge - (1d20)

(17) = 17

Oct 24, 2016 2:47 pm
Kama lashes out at the already-wounded orc, cutting it down easily.

Gimblyn and his mirror images move forward to join in the fray.
OOC:
Xora, Stormsong?
Oct 24, 2016 6:46 pm
Stormsong summons the strength of the mountain to resist some of the damage dealt. He then swings at the leader with his longsword.

I shoot at the most dangerous looking target, imbuing my arrow with thorns like before.

Rolls

Attack! - (1d20+7, 1d8+3)

1d8+3 : (6) + 3 = 9

OOC:
Xora, the most dangerous looking is the ogre, but he's too far back to be affected by Hail of Thorns. If you target one of the orcs in the group approaching melee range, you'll be able to hit four enemies with Hail of Thorns as well as take your extra Horde Breaker shot
Oct 25, 2016 10:07 pm
The group of orcs is looking pretty dangerous.

Rolls

Attack 2 - (1d20+7, 1d8+3)

1d20+7 : (11) + 7 = 18

1d8+3 : (8) + 3 = 11

Oct 26, 2016 9:01 pm
Xora's arrows fly into the crowd behind the front-line combatants, immediately dropping one, and then another as the thorns spray out from the struck orc, striking a couple of the other orcs.
OOC:
Xora takes two orcs down and damages two more. Back to the enemy turn!
The orc still facing Kama takes a swing with his massive greataxe, but the experienced soldier is able to sidestep at the last moment, avoiding a potentially fatal blow.

The orcs facing Stormsong don't do as well as they did before, distracted by the screams behind them. They both miss badly.

The surviving orc from the group that was approaching from behind skips over the melee and heads straight for the dangerour archer. He steps up to Xora and tries a sidelong swipe with his axe, but Xora nimbly avoids the blow.

The ogre, seeing four gnomes where there should only be one, moves up to Gimblyn and raises his huge club, slamming it down and making one of the illusory gnomes disappear.
OOC:
Rolled three 4s and a 6 on my attacks. Then I rolled a nat 20 to crush one of Gimblyn's duplicates.
Also, Gimblyn, Mirror Image create three duplicates, so there were actually four of you that move forward

Back to your turn!
The leader has taken 21 damage, the other orc on Stormsong has take 4 damage, the orc on Xora has taken 4 damage, and the orc on Kama as well as the ogre are undamaged

Gimblyn, Kama, two regular orcs, the ogre, and the strong orc are within 15'

If you're thinking Thunderwave, it actually isn't centered on you, it comes out from you. The red cube in the pic here:

Kama cannot leave his opponent unchecked, and presses his attack with his longsword.

Rolls

1d20+6 : (12) + 6 = 18

1d20+6 : (15) + 6 = 21

1d10+4 : (8) + 4 = 12

OOC:
Well, you were all standing side-by-side, so doing it directly in front of you would hit all of the orcs (besides the one on Xora) and the ogre.
Oct 26, 2016 11:27 pm
Stormsong, recognizing how grievous his wounds are, and how lucky he was to avoid blows, decides that its time to back off and use his long bow.

He feels the drumbeat of his Heart, and recalls the thunderous war chants of his Goliath brethren as they marched into battle, and slams his first into the ground in front of him.
OOC:
Thunder Wave (2nd lvl)
1st-level evocation
Casting Time: 1 Action
Range: Self (15-foot cube)
Components: V, S
Duration: Instantaneous
A wave of thunderous force sweeps out from you. Each creature in a 15-foot cube originating from you must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 2d8 thunder damage and is pushed 10 feet away from you. On a successful save, the creature takes half as much damage and isn't pushed.
In addition, unsecured objects that are completely within the area of effect are automatically pushed 10 feet away from you by the spell's effect, and the spell emits a thunderous boom audible out to 300 feet.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by a 1d8 for each slot level above first.
OOC:
DC 13 Con save

Rolls

Thunder Wave, 2nd lvl - (3d8)

(766) = 19

Oct 26, 2016 11:29 pm
A thunderous boom echoes out from Stormsong blasting the three orcs engaged with them to the ground. None of them stand back up or even move at all. The ogre is knocked back and to the ground, groaning and holding his ears.
Oct 26, 2016 11:30 pm
OOC:
1/2 damage?

1/2 damage?
OOC:
Only one orc saved, and that was the one Kama hit for 12, so he was still gonna die. The other three failed the saves, killing the two orcs and shoving the ogre away.
Oct 26, 2016 11:36 pm
"Sheesh!" shouts Kama as the ringing in his ears start to subside. "What'd you eat?"
Oct 26, 2016 11:49 pm
OOC:
oh -- I mis-read and thought they all saved!
Oct 26, 2016 11:53 pm
Stormsong finishes his turn by backing up 30'. He'll decide bow or spell next turn.

"Heh -- sorry. Panicked a bit there."
