Chapter 1 : Greenest in Flames

You see around the room a nurse taking care of the injured people and a dragonborne, seems like a cleric the way he is dressed and praying on top of a dead body. The limping man is lying on a bed waiting to be taken care and Linan by his side. "If you are not injured or someones relative please go outside..." says the nurse looking tired and cleaning a persons wounds.

And understanding that there is no immediate threat he continue asking: How do they mean "with the riders"?
I saw both Kobolds and Cultist in the city. Does the cultists live in the city or they came to the city together with kobolds?
How could you be sure of time when those sneaky kobolds appeared in the city to claim that it happened at the same time as dragon came?
He will be trying to understand reason the people in the keep were in such a hurry to close gates when all the enemies are keeping their distance from the keep. The mind of a man lived in the forest can't make any sense of the information he have gathered so far, when the information is what he came for, risking his life...

@Greyword Hunter asks the guard that he told you they came with the raiders and replies : ''it all went fast, I do not know...what I know is that they all just appeared few hours ago and start attacking us, killing, looting the houses and this dragon came from the sky....we just wanted to be safe here at the keep....god forgive us for the lost souls we left behind''

Hunter thinks: Hmm, these guards have no clue I believe. Now it seems it is safe here at least for a moment until dragon returns and I should go find someone who understands what is going on
He talks to the a guard who looks like most senior here I see. Looks like no immediate threat here. I would like to report to whoever is in charge here. How could I find any?

He replies to Hunter : ''The man who runs Greenest is Tarbaw Nighthill, he is inside the keep and Castellan Escobert is in charge of its defense and he is right there'' and points at the yard to a shield dwarf.

Hunter bless everyone on the walls and goes to introduce himself to Castellan Escobert. He asks for options to meet Tarbaw Nighthill if that is an option or any assistance he may provide
The keep is well defended against humanoids, but you have no chance against dragon. Do you have any plans to seek those who summoned it ? Or do try to negotiate with the dragon? I have studied dragons and could be of a help there.


But when he hear that there are more immediate need to rescue people and discover that Brommyr and Jaelyn are keen to go for a mission, he do not hesitate to join them. He knows he should earn trust of that Tarbaw Nighthill.
I do not see in the dark. Brommyr could lead us, his dwarf ayes are better suited for tunnels.

Hunter introduce himself to Castellan Escobert.
He replies to your questions : "You can meet Governor Nighthill, a guard can take you to him. As for the dragon...'' he is a little bit offended and he looks at you serious. "I do not negotiate with monsters, go rescue the people''

Dragon is no monster. Dragon is worse! We shall dare to rescue , talking could wait
Hunter find guard and go to the tunnel.

So... Hunter meets up the rest of the team and you go to the guard, that has the keys to the tunnel.
As you are walking ... Hunter you notice that two guards are running towards Castellan Escobert

I will do what I can for the rescue, but my power wanes with every encounter. I feel like I was once stronger, but it is hard to remember that time. For now, I will just have to make do.

Indeed. Leave the guards to their business. If we are needed, they will call us. We have our task and delaying only puts the townfolk in danger. Brommyr says, not thrilled by the prospect of going out weakened. Xarathon, I know the feeling. We will try to move fast and avoid unnecessary detours. It pains me to say it, but if we see any of those little lizard punks looting, we will need to ignore them unless they are directly in the way of our goal.

Out of the sudden, the dragon appears again and dives in to attack. Hunter and Jaelyn goes up to the walls to defend the keep. Unfortunately, in battle the dragon grabs them with his claws, bites them and tears them apart. RIP . The dragon flies off.

"Lead on Brommyr. I will do what I can. I suppose there are worse ways to perish than helping those in need."

Rivaan looks up and sees the dragon swoop down and claw at the two adventures. As the dragon flys off once again he gives a quick prayer for the two just in case he is not able to give an official final prayer later on.

Seeing the group come in with several civilians he knows that those two will never be forgotten for as long as the survivors live on.

Not knowing what more to do Rivaan continues bandaging the injured with the keeps med kits until he can find another way to help out more people.

Brommyr looks around, worried about the comment about waning power. You there! Medic with the bandages. We could have use of your services. Would you join us in rescuing some townsfolk trapped outside the wall? Looking to be fast, not a lot of fighting. But they may be hurt and could use attention when we get there. he says, calling out to Rivaan.

Rivaan looks down at the civilian who he was just treating. Just a arrow wound to the shoulder from one of the kobolds. Nothing life threatening. "Your going back out there?." he responds to Brommyr in surprise. "Of course, Ill help where I can. Hopefully we are not too late." Rivaan throws on his backpack and darts out to Brommyr's location as they get ready to traveling down through the tunnel.

A guard comes to you and says : "Governor Nighthill wants to meet up with you, about the prisoner. Castellan Escobert the Red will sent another group for the rescue". The guard escort you inside the keep.
You enter the keep and you see Tarbaw NIghthill and a guard holding Kutanar.
Tarbaw Nighthill, a human male of sixty years. The right side of Nighthill’s face and head are bandaged, his right arm hangs in a sling, and his light blue tunic is stained with his own blood. He received these wounds during the early stages of the attack and hasn’t spared the time for more than cursory first aid.
''Welcome, adventurers, I hope we met in better circumstances then this. You brought a cultist with you. After interrogation, he is willing to help about the intruders and I want you to be under your supervision.''
