Help Action
Jul 25, 2022 7:33 pm
OOC:
Leon, hold off a moment. Sadur is first on his initiative and is not grappled.
Sadur, even caught by surprise is able to shake the beast off and free his stance.
OOC:
Sadur: your action on 22.
Jul 25, 2022 8:06 pm
OOC:
Sorry to keep asking, but here it goes - I believe we were in corridor as narrow as have to move in a line, but Leon is somehow in melee range with the monster and so does Sadur, right? Anyhow I assume there are no drawbacks to attack with a two handed Greataxe in the situation we are in, please fix it as necessary
Sadur looks at the beetle and cries in his grating voice You eat human!? You die!! raging he grabs his Greataxe and tries to half the beetle
OOC:
BA: rage,
action: attack

Rolls

Greataxe to hit - (1d20+5)

(13) + 5 = 18

Greataxe damage - (1d12+3)

(5) + 3 = 8

Jul 25, 2022 8:20 pm
Sadur and Leon are inside a chamber that is around 20x15ft in a slightly irregular shape. The light is still in the tunnel with Jasper, but there does not seem to be any other movement or creatures in the room. Sadur has enough room to maneuver and swings true with his Greataxe, cracking into the beast who shrieks in return. It did not enjoy that one bit but has a bit more life left in it.

[I need Xarakas's initiative before we go further.]

Justbto be sure, was the grapple attempt on Sadur the surprise round? I will post my action just to speed things up

The beast shrieks with the combined assault, viewing Sadur as the most dangerous it attacks the half-orc again, this time using its forelimbs to batter the Barbarian... and fails to connect substantially.
OOC:
Jasper's up then Sadur again (with Leon's aid, giving advantage.)

Rolls

Attack on Sadur - (1d20+4)

(4) + 4 = 8

Jul 26, 2022 6:04 am
Jasper moves to just see the creature and then unleashes a fire bolt at it. Even with Sadur close, Jasper aim is good as he squarely hits it.

"No way that bug, even a giant one, could survive that beat down!" Thinks Leon as he disengages, making his way to the miner.
Jul 26, 2022 1:25 pm
Sure enough, the creature retracted in pain under the contact of the firebolt, and with the swing of Sadur's mighty ax the creature is bisected, spraying its innards out before slumping to the floor. You remain uninjured, though Leon and Sadur both are a bit messy with bug guts. As you recover and take stock, the miner seems to pass out in relief.
OOC:
Leon, medicine?
Jul 26, 2022 1:29 pm
"Everyone Okay? Says Leon as he checks over the miner for injuries, "Keep an eye out, there’s never just one roach!"
Jul 26, 2022 2:14 pm
The man is suffering from severe exhaustion. There are multiple bruising across the body, and strange bruises on his face.
OOC:
roll Medicine check please
Jul 26, 2022 2:46 pm
Leon brings a light over the miner, pausing at the unusual bruising around his face.

"Say ahhhh."

Facial bruising could indicate other less obvious problems. Broken teeth, facial bones, or swelling of the tongue, or potential brain injury. The miner’s ability to comply and thorough examination with an interview should reveal more about the nature of the injuries and possible course of treatment

Rolls

Medical Examination - (1d20+3)

(17) + 3 = 20

There is some abnormal wearing of the teeth, and while the trauma in the mouth is minor it is significantly concerning. Upon further inspection of the patient, you find a mass in the abdomen that could indicate a blockage in the intestine. You might consider the mundane reasons worth checking first, until you feel the mass wriggle beneath your palpation. This man was kept alive for use as an incubator.

The chamber here is closed off, but there is a collapsed tunnel that was filled with loose dirt and stones that was likely where the bug came from initially. These species will be a problem, regardless of what the Mayor would want.
