Grom releases his wild shape and marches towards the surrounded Hatith. As he strides topwards the combat, the druid lifts his staff in the air and utters strange incantations. The staff begins to throb with primal energy and leafy vines begin to emerge from the shaft. As Grom reaches the assailant (red) he makes ready to bring the shillelagh down upon the creature with all his force.
OOC:
(GM, I'm thinking release wild shape is one action, and movement a second. Shilleagh is two actions so I'll have to hold that in reserve until the next round
Dec 29, 2022 9:49 am
The purple hunter steps so he flanks Atticus and lets loose with two quick jabs of his spear. The first of which hits.

The last hunter, seeing you have the upper hands runs over to the cage and tosses it off the travois so the cage shudders. It still holds, but it has weakened enough for the creature inside to force its way out.

The red hunter curses as Grom appears beside him, and he instinctively attacks the new arrival. Though, maybe seeing the creature freed is affecting him as both attacks miss. He then runs away from the newly freed creature.
OOC:
OOC: Atticus can use his Shield Block reaction on the 8 damage or he can use it on an Attack of Opportunity vs Red.

Once again Igbork raises his bow and shoots two arrows at the purple hunter.
He concentrates on the first shot to make sure that at least this one hits

Two more arrows exit from the bushes and one of them hits the purple clad hunter in the shoulder, and he falls to the ground with a scream of pain.
OOC:
Not much better, but just enough better to hit its AC. So that's enough damage to end their life.

Koram and Atticus is up.
Jan 2, 2023 10:13 am
Koram busies himself with some quick medical care, then raises his hands to call forth lightning once more as Haitith strikes at the nearest enemy.
OOC:
Action 1: Battle Medicine
Actions 2 & 3: Act Together - Koram Casts Electric Arc vs Blue (Basic Reflex to save), Haitith strikes Blue

Rolls

1d8+4 : (2) + 4 = 6

Jan 4, 2023 7:37 am
The blue clad hunter falls in a combined might of Haitih's claws and Korams electric charge. Only the red clad hunter and their leader remains of the hunter, while the creature in the cage is free.
OOC:
Atticus, you are up. And since blue fell, Grom may act as well.

Rolls

Blue Reflex - (1d20+7)

(13) + 7 = 20

Jan 4, 2023 3:32 pm
As red rushes away, Grom spins on his heels in pursuit waving the primal-energy infused staff above his head and hurling unintelligible curses at the fleeing villain.
OOC:
shillelagh lasts for one minute but needs two actions to cast. As I understand it, 'attacks of opportunity' don't work in PF2e as they do in 5e, and so Grom would have to chase red. If that's right, I think one movement action may get Grom within striking distance for the next round
Jan 4, 2023 7:37 pm
Atticus gouges the situation and makes his choice. Moving..he engages the hunter's leader.
OOC:
Atticus will move, attack the leader, and bring his shield up.

Rolls

Attack - (1d20+8)

(8) + 8 = 16

Damage - (1d8+3)

(2) + 3 = 5

Atticus’ sword cuts into the lead hunter. He groans in pain, and tries to return the favor. He draws a spear, opening himself up to another attack from Atticus.

With his spear drawn, he lets loose with a devastating attack that hits Atticus hard in the side. Then he jumps off the travois and heads towards the bushes, leaving Atticus alone with the angered creature.

The creature lashes out at whatever the closest creature is, and attacks Atticus. His armor is just barely enough to keep back its’ wild attacks.

The red hunter lets loose with one attack versus Grom before running the opposite direction.
OOC:
OOC: Atticus can make an Attack of Opportunity as the yellow hunter draws a spear.

Grom, you seem to not have added your second level to AC, so that’s not a crit. And you're correct that AoO works differently. It's now a feat that only Fighters get at level 1. Though many classes gets access to it around level 6.

Koram, Atticus, Igbork and Grom is up again.

Round 4:
Character Initiative Acted Statuses
Green 24 X
Red 23 X
Koram 18 -22 hp
Atticus 18 -20 hp
Igbork 15
Grom 9 -7 hp
Yellow 7

OOC:
Actions 1 & 2: Act Together (Koram casts Electric Arc vs Red; Haitith strides 5ft NW, 30ft N)

Now breathless, Grom catches up with the fleeing hunter abd brings his energised staff down upon his head with all the strength he can muster.
OOC:
Grom will need two actions to catch red and will attack with the third. Grom is wielding the staff with both hands (d4 -> d8) and Shillelagh increases the damage of the Staff by one dice

OOC:
One action: attack
Two actions: Follow tribesman

Rolls

Short bow attack - (1d20+7)

(15) + 7 = 22

Potential damage - (1d6)

(2) = 2

Jan 9, 2023 8:13 am
OOC:
Koram, Trip works a bit differently in Pathfinder 2e. It is an Athletics check against the target’s Reflex DC. And you don't roll damage normally.

Critical Success The target falls and lands prone and takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage.

Success The target falls and lands prone.

Critical Failure You lose your balance and fall and land prone.

Also, since the hunter failed his save, he perished. So Igbork and Grom can redo his action based on him no longer being a valid target.

Rolls

Reflex Red - (1d20+7)

(3) + 7 = 10

Jan 10, 2023 12:42 am
OOC:
My apologies, I thought I had removed the text indicating a trip attack - I started drafting the post as a trip attack, but decided to just attack to do damage instead (which is why I rolled damage). Please consider my post an attack vs the creature.
Jan 10, 2023 10:53 pm
As the enemy falls Igbork rushes towards Atticus to help him against the creature.
He runs pretty close to both of them then raises his bow and shoots an arrow
OOC:
Action 1&2: Stride towards Atticus and the monster
Action 3: Shoot arrow

Igbork should be able to reach a position two squares diagonally down to right of the creature

Rolls

Short bow attack #1 - (1d20+7)

(10) + 7 = 17

Potential damage - (1d6)

(2) = 2

Jan 12, 2023 10:52 am
OOC:
@therecusant would Grom like to change his action?
Jan 12, 2023 10:56 am
Furmyr says:
OOC:
@therecusant would Grom like to change his action?
OOC:
No, the old Druid has invested too much into the chase. He’ll take a swipe at red even though the monster has already fallen, :-)
Jan 13, 2023 10:44 am
OOC:
I realize I got Atticus' Attack of Opportunity but not his actual action for the round.
Jan 13, 2023 12:25 pm
Atticus snaps his shield up as he tries to defend himself against the creature's attacks. Knowing that the creature is simply reacting to being in a cage, Atticus feels heavy with regret as he attacks.
OOC:
Atticus will attack and then raise his shield.
If he can get away without an attack of Opportunity against him..he will back up.

Rolls

Attack (Longsword) - (1d20+8)

(15) + 8 = 23

Damage - (1d8+3)

(3) + 3 = 6
