Trials, Tribulation, and Treasure
Other than that I'm good with wherever things take us.
I'd also like the know more about Rhidon.
Before I ran into you, I went into the swamps to meet a being called the Boatman. The Boatman has wonderful tales.
I really didn't have a plan after that, but now I am definitely going to that mythic city and seeing what it's all about.
What of you Rhidon? You mentioned your house before dinner. Are you a merchant? I imagine an enterprising merchant can find all sorts of treasure to sell in the Dawn Age City. Care to accompany me?", Barley says with a giant smile as Rhidon's excitement spreads to him.
Barley, access to such wonders only appear once in a lifetime. Of course I will accompany you, in fact I was going to ask you the same thing. This shall be a grand adventure! Rhidon gives Barley a friendly pat on the shoulder as he utters that last proclamation.
Looking at Krogan, Rhidon continues Krogan, I must ask that you take the cart back home without me. The road from here is mostly safe. Tell my father that there are already others racing for these treasures, so any extra delays cannot be afforded.
You both know that most common way to the expedition base to Paphos is via boat down the river fire several days. But you could also take the more scenic way of simply getting a lift across the river and following it down stream on foot. This would likely take a week and be a bit more risky but also more of an adventure.

Then again, the expedition has gotten so well known that river pirates are getting to be quite the bother. Lost a couple good men last trip back. I hear the hobgoblins and orcs to the west as well as the lizardmen to the south-west have been seen in larger more aggressive bands. So keep a watchful eye out. Hide your fires at night and sleep with a weapon at hand
You can tell the man is good natured and though he thinks you foolish in you idea is well meaning in his relaying of advice and information.
Rolls
Rhidon tries to remember if he's heard anything about the Border Storms - (2d6)
(14) = 5
Rhidon has heard a bit of talk about these but the are less common in the Divine Nations. The churches are claiming the gods are holding them back, much like they did in reducing the effects of the Shattering itestf. From what you have heard it seems quite likely to be true
I want each of you to
1. Describe your travels and explain how you use using your traits and/or background then add a Test roll for 3d6. Add a standard 2d6 Test as well. Then iOOC n this post suggest a possible difficulty you encounter in your travels over the next couple of days.
After both have done this
2. Each of you explain how your character takes the lead in overcoming the other players challenge.
Based on your rolls and challange and solutions I will add other content to the mix for you to handle along the way.

Trying to avoid magical conflict zones using Arcane Amulet - (3d6)

Remember and recount an obscure story for Barley - (2d6)
(31) = 4
As days pass, the path becomes wilder. The hills become stranger. At first, the change is not quite noticable but soon Barley starts to see strange plants amongst the native flora. Barley is thankful for Rhidon's amulet.
Amongst the hills, Barley picks up a traveler, a little spirit familiar that he names Malachy. They form a bond.
As the way grows wilder still, Barley sends Malachy out to commune with the areas local spirits, hoping to broker a deal for nightly protection. He is willing to give away something small, trade a tale told to him from another spirit far away, a dream, or at the very worse the memory of a sunny day from his childhood.
2D6: Barley will use his Scholar background to try and impress local spirits for protection.
Suggested Chalenge for Rhidon: While waiting for Malachy to return, a ferocious growl is heard and something like a dog mixed with an eel bursts from the river!
Now I'm going to respond to Rhidon's challenge in this post.

In an effort to intimidate the creature, Rhidon assumes a stance that makes him look wider and begins executing katas while grunting hoping to scare it off.
