OOC:
Yeah, I was mostly just doing it for flavor. For now I'm good with keeping things simple though.
Also I think we may have gotten a little mixed up with the names, Blormvid is Rhidon right?
With the formerly grappled beast twitching on the ground, Rhidon moves in on the closest one still up while taking out his nunchucks. He performs a flashy attack, trying to pull some attention off of Barley.

Rolls

Flashy nunchaku attack on creature - (2d6)

OOC:
yeah, thanks for pointing that out. I fixed most of it.
We'll keep it simple for now but keep up tht detailed play. It may affect the outcome, as with our impromptu Grappling ☻

Bleeding and determined, Barley fires another psychic assault at the first snarling beast.

Then, he turns his head and sees Rhidon swings his nunchucks at the second. Barley reaches out his hand.
OOC:
Yeah, I don't need the called shots to be reflected mechanically. Let's keep it simple.

Can I have force choke? Maybe it's a reflavor of telekinetic pull?

If that's not a thing, I'll just jump on the thing and grapple the jackal Rhidon is attacking.

Grapple or force choke? (telekinetic grapple?) the jackal Rhidon is attacking - (2d6)

OOC:
Added 2nd attack to Rhidon as you do not need to move unless it is beyond melee range
Rhidon moves to help drive back the jackals with Barley but the creatures manages to avoid taking any serious damage while sliding back in to bite at the two. Barley fails to avoid the teeth and his legs stream blood from several gashes now.

Rolls

2d6 : (43) = 7

2d6 : (13) = 4

Yelling in pure animal pain, Barley loses all sense and directs his psychic force towards the jackal that bite him. Two bolts of telekinetic power fly from his enraged mind.
OOC:
Well, if I get hit twice again, I'm in death saves. This game has death saves? If it doesn't, I maybe jackal jerky.
I'm hitting the guy that bit me twice.

Rhidon feels the situation growing increasingly dire, and begins chanting a Dwarven battle chant to help stay focused.

With his ancestors in mind, he hurls two more attacks on the creature closest to him.

OOC:
0 hp is dead. There is a trait that prevents this one a day. Resurrecting is a thing, but then so is money and the two have a correlating 😁.
If you are in trouble then using the Dodge action can help.
Barley targets his energy and throws a couple bolts, one of which slams into the creatures head causing it to help and jump back. Meanwhile Rhidon slams two attacks onto the other that falls levels at his feet.

The last great turns and runs of audiotape lost from sight in the brush. Barley collapses to the ground digging through his pack for some bandages. Rhidon moves to ensure the two fallen creatures have been put out of their misery. As he approaches the one he was wrestling at the beginning the creature whimpers then speaks.

Jackalwere
Spare. Spare me. Spare my life and i can guide you to an ancient treasure

Rhidon can see now that the creatures long limbs have finger and a ragged scrap of cloth is tied around his loins.
Sep 25, 2023 4:56 pm
Rhidon pauses but doesn't let his guard down, ensuring his stance will allow him to quickly react as needed.

You have maimed my friend after stalking us! We were merely passing through, you brought this aggression. Why should I trust a word you say?

Jackalwere
My leg is broken. I can not flee. What did wolf lying do me? it whimpers.
Sep 25, 2023 6:02 pm
After hearing the reply, Barley stands, wincing with pain. After a shakey step, he stands tall and looks down at the Jackalwere.
He says, "You speak. Why not parlay first? Only thieves and murders attack without asking questions. My friend is right. We cannot trust you. However, Rhidon, I'm loathe to kill without reason. Tell us first. Why stock us?"

Jackalwere
The jackalwere looks confused You are prey. I hunt to eat.
You did not look strong so we hunted you. Legends say we were made to hunt and are hunted in turn. This is life.
You can tell the creature doesn't eat to die bit doesn't think it did anything wrong. Likely this is a Warborn breed created to fight in the Dawn War between the mortal People with their Deity and Immortal servants of the Incarnations. Most of these are either Spain or captured in civilized lands. It here in the streets lands they run wild without control.
Sep 25, 2023 8:16 pm
"Well, I believe that leg has lumped you into the prey category... with us." With the last two words, Rhidon smiles at the jackalwere before turning to Barley and whispering.

"I don’t believe we can trust the word of such a creature, but perhaps the emotions."

In a fluid motion, Rhidon takes out his handaxe and speaks at the creature in a booming voice meant to rattle its nerves. "Such a creature knows nothing of ancient treasure and is merely stalling us! I say we end him before the rest of his pack arrives.'"
OOC:
Rhidon is bluffing here as an attempt at intimidation. He thinks it will be more honest if panicked than reasoned with.

Rolls

Intimidate creature - (2d6)

(46) = 10

Jackalwere
The jackalwere whimpers a bit clutching its let I die to if I can not hunt. You kill me now and you never find the treasure. Too many mounds. Too many caves. You need me. and it clutches its shattered leg. The Jackalwere blabers on about the hidden treasure but refuses to say any details without assurances of it life and safety.
Sep 27, 2023 11:09 am
Barley whispers to Rhidon, "If we take his word, we can always bind him. I've enough rope to do it. Also, if you would allow it. I can open a psychic channel between us and then we can communicate directly with our minds. It may be useful in this situation."
Sep 27, 2023 3:04 pm
Rhidon puts his hand on his chin and silently looks at the jackalwere for a moment. He whispers back to Barley "Open the channel, I'll survey the perimeter and make sure there's no more coming."

With that, he puts his axe away and looks around in the area the one seemed to run off to.
OOC:
Unsure if this is a situation where we'd do a roll, so I'll include one just in case.

Rolls

Surveying perimeter for threats - (2d6)

(13) = 4

Sep 28, 2023 1:16 am
The telepathic link work easier than Rhidon though and he quickly addapts
OOC:
Please use Bold Italics for telepathic comunication
Rhidon does a quick and smort circuit of the area and does not spit any other jackakwere or other threats nearby.

After calming down the jackalwere explains he and his pack found the tomb several years ago and simply use it to get out of the rain. There are several levels but they only use the top level as going deeper brings a level of unknown fear into their hearts. He will show you the way if you promise to let him go as soon as you see the doorway. He refuses to say anything else about his pack but does share a few bits of information about the crypt and the atea.

"This tomb sounds intriguing. I say we go and see what it is about. However, I need to rest first. This leg hurts to the gods above." Barley thinks to Rhidon.

Then to the Jackalwere. he says, "We are going to bind your hands with rope. If no harm comes to us by you and your pack, I will not do any harm to you and yours."
OOC:
I rolled for the rope just in case. I also edited for grammar.

OOC:
Can Rhidon "think" back to Barley? If so this is in his head, if not outloud.
Rhidon makes a frustrated sigh to himself, and nods. "Yes, we'll bind him first and then find somewhere close to rest."
OOC:
Rhidon rolls to try and determine the best place nearby to setup camp, that would allow them to have good visibility should the pack come sniffing around with reinforcements.

Rolls

Roll to find nearby camping site with good visibility - (2d6)

You bind the jackalwere's arms and set his leg as the shattered bone causes him extreme pain when you try and move him. You thne find a small copse of trees and setle down for a rest.
OOC:
You can speak telepathically without rolling or anythig as long as you are both concious.

How long are yo resteing? +1 HP per hour of rest

OOC:
Barley needs at least 4 hours, I'd like to get to full health before we go into a potentially deadly situation
Barley sits down, propping himself against a gnarled tree and checks his bandages. "Thank you Rhidon, I need a little to tend to my wounds", he thinks and begins to open his canteen. He takes a swig. Then using as little water as possible, he starts to clean his wounds. "What's your name?", he says to the jackalwere.
