The monster responds with a critical hit! Luckily, Kip's weapon takes the brunt of the blow, the tentacle sundering her axe and battering the dwarf! Kip fends off its other tentacles.
The walls of eyes continue to move to pursue you, firing energy beams! Both Aldar's familiar and Honey are struck by crackling black beams of death magic! One beam flies towards Kip, but the mirror shield deflects it away from her!
PC Positions:Kip and the owl are both next to the crevasse, 145 feet from the exit. Hyde is 85 feet from the exit. Honey is 75 feet from the exit. Aislynn is 55 feet from the exit. Aldar and Brother Tim are 40 feet from the exit!.

The eyes on the wall fire more beams of energy! Both Aldar's familiar and Hyde are hit by rays of frost, while Honey is hit by a ray that fills her mind with fear! Aislynn is hit by a ray that threatens to transform her body!

But the Elf King had rejected Aldar's request. And Aldar... he couldn't describe it. Was it guilt? Did he care for these two? For whatever reason, Aldar decided he had not become an adventurer to be timid.
"I hope this wworks," Aldar mumbled to himself. Then he began to chant.
If the spell succeeds, he will run back to help Honey get Kip in the wheel barrow. If it fails... he'll head for the exit.
