As the threads of energy surged through Torak's body, a searing pain tore through his being, leaving behind an indelible mark of spiritual trauma. The damage inflicted upon him manifested as a profound sense of emptiness and exhaustion, as if his very essence had been drained by unseen forces.

"Panuaku, your recklessness has endangered us all!" He gripped her shoulder with a heavy, calloused hand, pulling her back towards the entrance, even as Korum sped through to safety. "You show little regard for the power of the Judge of Souls. Our actions carry weight in her eyes, and now we suffer the consequences."

Artesia is unable to subdue the restless spirit from the chest. You see Panuaku pulling out some holy symbols of Judge of Souls, along with a bundle with unknown content. There's still what looks like coins in the chest along with a staff and a leather folio when Torak chastises Panuaku. Though the hunter seems unwilling to let herself be dragged along by Torak. "I will claim the prize and be rid of this place. Then we can let the restless rest in peace," she replies to Torak.
OOC:
@therecusant Just Grom left to act.

Apologies GM, Comrades, I've been off-grid for a few days - will pick up the thread again!

Four new threads of negative energy shoots out, moving through Panuaku, Torak, Koram and Artesia. Panuaku grunts in pain, as the energy skewers her, she falls unconscious to the ground.
OOC:
Need another round of basic Will saves from Torak, Koram and Artesia. The DC is 22.

With three actions you should all be able to get out this round, though Panuaku still have a couple of actions left.

Edit: Had to change the narrative, didn't consider Panuaku crit failing her save and falling unconscious.

Rolls

Hazard damage - (4d6)

(3465) = 18

Panuaku Will - (1d20+10)

(2) + 10 = 12

Torak's concern for Panuaku's well-being is tinged with a hint of frustration as he carries her unconscious form from the cave. Despite his frustration with her earlier actions, he recognizes the urgency of the situation and the need to prioritize their safety.

With a determined resolve, Torak swiftly moves to Panuaku's side, scooping her unconscious form into his arms with a gentleness that belies his imposing stature. As he carries Panuaku from the cave, Torak's thoughts are consumed by a mix of worry for their fallen companion and determination to ensure their group's survival. "We should have shown more respect to the Judge of Souls," Torak mutters under his breath, his tone a mix of exasperation and solemnity. "Perhaps then we wouldn't be in this predicament."
OOC:
Question; Do I take damage this turn, despite being 50 ft away? My previous action was to Stride twice, moving me 50 feet from the cave. However, I am still taking damage, so I have to stride 50 feet back to the cave to pick up Panuaku, so next round I will take 4d6, then I am encumbered, so I will only be able to triple move for 45 feet for another 4d6. The range on this is huge, and Panuako is going to go to, at least dying 2, I am going down next round unless the 4d6 come up all 1's.

OOC:
Yes it has a 60 foot distance. Artesia do have healing, but wouldn't be able to reach Panuaku. But could reach Koram and Torak next round. Just waiting for @therecusant to see if he can do anything. He'd be able to reach Panuaku, though since she fell down near the chest, he won't be able to much else once he reach her.

Grom runs out and pulls Koram the last few feet into safety.

Another four strands leave the chest, but with only one conscious target in the cave, three of them dissipates and one pierces Torak.
OOC:
Roll me another Will save Torag, unless you crit, you will probably fall unconscious, but close enough to the exit for Grom and Artesia to save you. Then you all may act again.

Need a death save from Koram.

Panuaku goes to Dying 1, so you still have 3 rounds to figure out if she's worth saving.

Rolls

Damage - (4d6)

(1225) = 10

Panuaku Death Save - (1d20)

(15) = 15

Apr 28, 2024 5:22 pm
"Once we've made certain that everyone is out of the cave, I can concentrate on keeping them alive!" Artesia says.

OOC:
You have 3 actions Artesia and can reach Torag so if you'd heal him he could possibly survive anothe ray and get out. Likewise, healing Koram will stop him from dying now that Grom has been able to pull him out.
May 3, 2024 3:57 pm
Artesia hesitates for a moment, but only for a moment, and then summons forth her energy, reaching out to Torag. With great effort, she provides healing to the fallen warrior.
OOC:
Two actions to use heal on Torag.

Panuaku
You are able to make a lasso and get Pakano out this way. Once she's back to health she volunteers to run in with a rope around herself and pick up the rest of the treasures.

In the end she comes out with three ivory holy symbols of the Judge of Souls, as well as a bundle of rare incense (worth 40 gp) as well as a staff that radiates magical energy and a leather folio. The staff you are able to identify as a Staff of Healing.

Studying the folio you realize it is a detailed description of the Concecrate ritual.

Is this about where Koram should be making another roll? If he fails, he is dead :|

No, I assume you've all stabilized and gotten back up.

Artesia would certainly have channeled to heal everyone as soon as they were in a small group for her to do so.
May 20, 2024 12:59 am
Koram sits up and brushes himself off. For the first time in a long while, he feels the pained absence of Haitith, who has surely been recalled to the astral plane now. "Thank you, for bringing me around," he says, while checking over his wounds. "I thought I was a goner."

"Not while I draw breath, my friend."
