Hrafe charges from hiding, shield held high interposing himself between Skullbreaker and the skeletons.

Ylliane flips another arrow out of her quiver and fires. Her care not to hit her allies means she misses rather wide, so she moves forward slowly as she readies another to fly.

Probably a miss, and nothing to trigger.

Seeing the arrow, the skeleton warrior attempts to break off from Edgar and run to Ylliane. It takes its full turn, but the skeleton does manage to run up to Ylliane.
OOC:
It is now Makasi's turn. Edgar may go if he wishes, though Makasi's turn would resolve first.

The blow lands, but not solidly. The skeleton glares at Makasi. She is unsure if the skeleton has changed targets, or is merely acknowledging the harm.

The blade goes cleanly between a pair of bones, not even nicking any of them before the skeleton backs up and slides the knife safely out. It looks at Edgar, but Hrafe is imposing himself so much that the skeleton decides to give him a swing.
OOC:
Hrafe takes 6 damage. It is now Ylliane and Hrafe's turns.

Hrafe weathers the attack with a snarl, bruises already forming where the rusty spear scraped him. Hrafe returns the blow with one of his own. Raising Glaezentorg and attempting to cleave through the skeleton.

Ylliane prefers to be at a distance from her foes, but that doesn't mean she's afraid to be where she is now. "Why? Want all the glory for yourself?" she asks with a teasing grin. She reaches for her sword in the same movement as she flips her bow up and over her opposite shoulder, and she's ready to swing.
OOC:
Move > Quick: Stowing the bow.
Quick: Drawing the sword.
Standard: flexible melee attack.

If that hits, it triggers Deadly Assault, which lets me reroll that one. ... Welp. Woo for extra damage, I think. 12 instead of 11.

Ylliane's blow is solid, but still manages to glance the bones rather than land a solid hit on them. The skeleton recognizes Makasi's blow, but seems to be so simple minded that it goes for Ylliane due purely to her being the reason it ran over here.

It is now Makasi's turn. Anyone else can go if they want, with the escalation die for all others being 1 higher, but Makasi's turn will be resolved first.

The skeleton is struck right on the spine, snapping it in half. The rest of the skeleton falls apart within seconds. You see the entrance that the skeletons came out of. They did not appear to close it behind themselves. When you are ready, to can proceed.

in case anyone is curious, the skeletal enemies have resist weapons 16+, meaning if you attack them with a weapon (magical or not), they take have damage if you hit but don't roll a 16 or higher on the d20. 13th age does not care about weapon damage types like bludgeoning or slashing, but there is a sidebar that says the DM can allow certain weapons to ignore the resist weapon 16+ if they want, but that is not what is written

As you collect yourselves, you prepare to head inside. You walk down a long, dark staircase until you eventually find yourself in a very large room. The room appears to be a dome, and there are 4 large braziers with green flames evenly spaced where the corners would be. There are 2 very large holes in the ground, and it seems the far side has a door. The area reeks of death, but that is to be expected. What do you do?

Ylliane redraws her bow as she gives Adgar a warning in her clipped tones. "Be careful. This area is designed to lure you to your death. It's far too open."
