OOC:
Augh, my post was eaten by my browser.
Aurin gripped the edges of his console as the readings spiked, eyes widening as they seemed to suddenly be awash in a strange energy field. He pulled in a breath, holding it, then looking around the cabin, scanning for a moment to see if anything had changed. But everything seemed to be in order.
"There was nothing... sharp enough to trigger the alerts, Commander. We were one place and then, suddenly, someplace else." He ran his thumb along the edge of his beak.
"There is good news... Planck constants seem to be within survivable parameters. No major damage. And, well, I'd have the doctor double check, but it appears we aren't melting into goo. I think if our fundamental chemistry was altered, we would probably notice pretty quickly."
He ducked his head back down, running the scans again, seeing if their quantum signature matched any known values, such as the shuttle they had seen previously.
"If there's any pattern I can detect, it may just be a matter of sitting tight and waiting to head back."
