Haguk screams out a curse in orcish as he moves quickly forward. He makes his way straight for the Mothman, disregarding all dangers on the way.
OOC:
Haguk uses a quick action to rage.
If it was a miss, he'll Build Frenzy, potentially getting another d6 damage on his next action.

As Elke stumbles forwards, she regains her balance and finds herself looking up into the gaping maw that is the mouth of the female Brumelurk. Before she can react, the Brumelurk lets out and icy blast of misty breath in Elke's direction.

The mist engulfs Elke's face leaving her gasping for breath and clawing at the air.

Elke takes 10 damage.

Xanxus catches the Brumelurk in the midriff, knocking the wind out of him. The Brumelurk lets out an astonished grunt before resuming an aggressive stance.

Domitius looked at his hands, perplexed. He thrust them out again, and another wave of purple lightning lashed out.

His skeleton continued to strike out at the Brumelurk, mindless of the flames licking at its bones.

The purple lightning strikes the Brumelurk in the forehead, setting his matted, straw-like hair alight. He frantically tries to beat out the flames, screaming as the searing pain of his burning scalp reaches his decomposing but still sensitive nerve endings.

The Brumelurk's jerky movements when beating the fire out make him a difficult target to hit though and the animated skeleton fares less well in his attack, his scimitar clanking off the flagstones, creating sparks a blacksmith would be proud of.

Xanxus hits but the skeleton doesn't. 8 damage in total.

Myrneth is unconscious so the turn passes to Blackstar. Escalation die is still +1.

The tentacle lashes out and catches the female Brumelurk round the neck. It chokes her ferociously for around 20 seconds before she finally breaks free.

Elke first, then the male Brumelurk will take his turn. Escalation die is +1.

Elke shivers tightly as the mist of icy blasts begins to dissipate. The sight of the tentacle gets her attention and the fog of confusion caused by the female Brumelurk. She sets her jaw and heads towards the female Brumelurk, anger and rage fuelling the swing of her axe.

For Heavy Warrior I'm not sure if result of this roll applies now or when the enemy next attacks me..?

Between Elke's recent stumble and the brain freeze she suffered from the mist attack, her vision is blurred and she swings wildly at thin air, missing the female Brumelurk entirely.

Meanwhile, the male Brumelurk unleashes a blast of putrid mist breath at Blackstar.

The Moth thing is also now in the thick of the action and takes less than kindly to Haguk's recent intrusion on his personal space and his dusty claw cuts the night air as it swings towards Haguk's midriff.
OOC:
Both attacks hit.

10 damage to Blackstar (now at 11/21 hit points)

12 damage to Haguk (now at 18/30 hit points)

Haguk, your turn now with the escalation die at +1. Then the remaining (female) Brumelurk to finish round 2.

Haguk grunts in pain as the mothman's attack pushes him back. Luckily his armor took the brunt of it, but he can feel his limbs tire and his body won't last long the way this fight is going. He steels himself and pulls back his sword for another swing.

Haguk's attack cleaves off the Mothman's previously undamaged right wing, and the severed wing flutters wildly in a bloody pool on the ground before finally becoming still. The mothman bellows in pain.

The Mothman is now staggered. He was actually staggered last turn but I failed to mention it. Apologies.

Round 2 is over. A reminder of initiative for round 3.
