HEROINES: 🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧🍧
Despite the coffee spill and the yelling and the slipping and the pending lawsuit, our heroines outcool The Quaz!
You mighta heard you get two actions per turn:
• ATTACK (Fight or Shoot)
• DEFEND (Dodge or Block)
• SPECIAL (Stunt or Magic)
You just out-cooled The Quaz, so you won’t be defending this round. You can attack, do a special or both. Just attacking is self-explanatory, so I’m gonna talk about specials.
STUNT - Pulling a stunt means you move yourself in a special way. Leap across a chasm, slip past guards unseen, pick a lock or squeeze through a keyhole if you’re fairy-sized. In a battle situation, this may only be a thing you do in certain circumstances. Stunts are usually meant for chase scenes, stealth mode, rescues, etc.
MAGIC - Using magic affects the environment. Reprogram the soda fountain to become a hazard that hinders foes, cast ice on the floor to make it slippery, build a fire wall out of fire and magically-summoned dry twigs. In battle, harmless magic can do stuff that helps!
SPECIAL + ATTACK: If you roll a stunt or magic AND attack in the same round, combine the moves! If the dice are nice, tell how your stunt or magic improves your attack: you swing on a vine and kick every foe in your way? Your fiery uppercut causes an explosion? Your magic missile freezes its target, then covers much of the ground in slip-ice? Be creative! Let the GM rack his brain and figure out how effective your Special Attack was.
The only downside to a special attack is if you roll a HIT and a MISS, you pull off the move, but at a cost!
No good risk goes unrewarded… except when your rolls suck!
Wishin’ ya luck!

Jean forgot to mention items. I’m more of a lore girl, but okay…
ITEM USE doesn’t count against your "two actions," but you can’t activate the same ability twice in the same round. Godmother-only-knows what that guy was thinking, but that’s how it is.
Oh yeah… and items are almost impossible to replenish. The only way you can do it is by punching a box with a flashing question mark on it. There are usually zero, one or two of those in a level, and nobody knows what makes them pop up!
And knowing is half the battle!
Well… shit.

The Quaz rolls up his leather sleeves. "Nobody, and I mean nobody, outcools the Qua—"
"BLABLAHHH!!" the turtle-man interrupts and does a cool dual-nunchuck twirl. None of his twirling comes anywhere close to Pira, who has time to act first!
The Cowboys all draw phasers set to Sonic Boom, except for Harry, who pulls a knife.
"Aw, shoot, Harry. I telled ya not to bring that durned thing to a spacebar fight."
"I brought it to spread my jam. I’m a line-dancer, not a gun-slinger, doggummit."
With the one knife-wielder, our heroines now face four fighters and four shooters… and they’re all poised to attack, but too slow on the draw!
