What's going on? I feel spell casting.
Dec 20, 2016 2:52 am
OOC:
Poor blind little elf.
Dec 20, 2016 2:55 am
OOC:
I didn't have to be blind, just felt it was dramatically appropriate. She did a good job running blind apparently :)
Dec 20, 2016 3:31 am
OOC:
Oh I agree, and she definitely felt the spellcasting.
Dec 20, 2016 4:52 am
"She was here! Curses!" Gazam chews on his lip as they hurry after the elf.
Dec 20, 2016 10:04 pm
Ceadron says:
Taking this opportunity while the gnome is distracted at the door, he tries to sneak away to avoid further conversation
Allyk slips away from the gnome at the perfect time. Wembil turns to acknowledge the sounds outside only to find Allyk is gone when he returns his attention to the what-once-was-conversation. It's not until the entire group leaves the inn does Wembil spot Allyk again. He stays close to the undead man's side.

Mul'Zeb glances back over his shoulder to see the portal dissipate. "Maybe now not be da time to confront dis mage, friend. We would be outnumbered, even with our new allies." He looks to Thalnazz. "Where we be headin'?"
OOC:
Did everyone go through the portal or just the mage? Are we being followed?
Dec 24, 2016 3:14 pm
OOC:
The mage froze everyone around her and escaped. You are not being followed.
Dec 24, 2016 3:46 pm
"Needed a distraction," Gazam grunts in dark amusement.
Dec 31, 2016 7:51 pm
Dormir gives a gruff "Humph!", catches up to Thalnazz, his armor jingling merrily with each pounce of his boots meeting the ground, and rests his hand on the elf's shoulder. "Might ye clue us in to where ye leadin' us? Me thinks a plan should be crafted."
Jan 1, 2017 6:40 am
Ooh, your sobbering up. We are currently fleeing the scene, leaving Ashenvale and walking across the barrens to Theramore. Are we clear of the town yet? Actually I'll keep this on until were out of alliance territory. She holds out one of her bags Thalnazz feel free to pick an outfit, it's not too long of a walk out of the forest. Taking Dormir's gem out of her pouch she blindly fiddles with it as she stumbles forward.
Jan 7, 2017 1:33 am
Gazam watches the blood elf fiddle with the gem. Under his breath he mutters, "So this is how the mighty fall. Arrogant, capricious, careless, succumbing to their own whims and dark desires. When they fall, they tear it all down, like stones falling from a fragile tower. Only those versed in the simple things will survive to rebuild. Such is the orc way.." He laughs, a quiet yet deep chuckle.
Jan 9, 2017 8:11 pm
Glancing over to Gazam as he chuckles, Dormir posits "If me father an' me father's father taught me one thing, it's to always be concerned when an orc stops swingin'!"

Leading Meridia in the head of the group, Thalnazz blindly rummages through her bag. He eventually finds traditional Sin'dorei garb of crimson and gold. Making their way through the forests of Ashenvale, Wembil stays close to Allyk, keeping a curious eye on the undead man, determined not to lose sight of him.
Jan 17, 2017 5:45 am
As they travel, Meridia attempts to put fresh wards around the stone.
OOC:
What kind of check is it, Arcana? As I don't really see a relevant spell...

Rolls

Arcana? - (1d20+5)

(18) + 5 = 23

Jan 17, 2017 6:21 am
Yes, and Meridia studies the gem and the magical fluctuations faintly emanating from deep within ... but also from somewhere else. You determine your knowledge (arcana) is sufficient to ward the gem. It will merely require a variation on the alarms and wards spell. Like any good mage, you surely have that particular spell in your spell book, right?
OOC:
For a variant spell like this, you will have to do what I refer to as long casting. This is like ritual magic where the spell and a place is postulated for spell work. Say about an hour prep and 10 minute cast.
Though how she's kept the gem from Dormir for so long is anyone's guess.
Jan 17, 2017 7:01 am
OOC:
I have alarm, but don't see anything about wards and alarm anywhere. If that's sufficient then I continue with my blind spell work. Who needs to see anyway.
Response to anyone who tries to take the gem: Ahahahah, I'm trying to ward it!

Gazam will sing lightly to pass the time. Given their proximity to the coast, he smiles as he sings one of his favourite sailor songs. His voice is undoubtedly untrained by the finer schools of art.

From the coast of Westfall
to Blackfathom Deeps
Silent I'll hunt you
Silent I will creep

Gliding through the depths
Gliding to your death
Upon the shore I rise
Hold my flippers to the skies

I am more than a fish
I am more than a man
Death will rise from the tide
I am Murloc!

OOC:
LMFAO
The rest of the group side glances at Gazam worriedly when they hear his mumbled ... "singing".

OOC:
Ah yes, I was thinking about the 3rd edition spell Alarms and Wards. Same thing really. For the ritual, you will need to stop your travels.
