Asha
It is strange for Asha to feel Ane's magic embrace her. It's completely different to the feeling of her own magic, a warm humid breeze instead of a rush of heat erupting from within.
As she works the spell, Ane's own face changes from the tall man she had been impersonating back to her own and then to Asha's for a moment.
What is she doing? Is she trading faces with me? Asha wonders before it morphs back into Ane's own face again as her friend continues to cast the spell in deep concentration.
As the spell nears completion, Asha notices a hint of disappointment in Ane's expression. She looks down at her body and finds she appears to be a diminutive figure now. Her long dark red hair is gone from her shoulders, replaced by a small yellow bird.
Unsure about Ane's disappointed expression (not realizing her face looks like Ane's sister), she's about to say encouragingly,
"Ane, this is great!" but when she looks back up towards her friend, she instead sees the old scribe and let's out a scream, retreating towards Garrett before realizing it's just Ane.
"Ane! You look like that old scribe from the coffee shop! Did you mean to do that?!?!"
