Hmmmm. Awkward. The mage I put together is a Jerbiton who puts more interest into his vineyard and orchards than his magical pursuits. Is that too close to Rabbit's character? Should I keep it and we have a built in rivalry or partnership in the magical plant business? Not sure how to proceed.

I could see them being from the same Covenant, perhaps?
I can dial back Paracelsus' vineyard angle, and make him more of a vim-alchemical-researcher side?
I can also dial up his ambition. But I see Paracelsus as more of a Vim mage, not much of Herbam.

Does how I described the vineyards vibe with what you envisioned? I'm open to suggestions.

I'm delighted that we happened to stumble on the same creative energy... :)

I should be able to finish my character tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the updates, @dmbrainiac.

As for our Jerbiton (@verrain) and Paracelsus (@rabbits), I'd love to see a bit of vine-master rivalry between the two, crafting crazier and crazier vintages to one-up the other and so forth!

I still need to settle on my character's interests, details, and household, but I've submitted what I have so far.

Excellent! Approval forthcoming. We'll RP out a bit our characters' adobes, households, etc.

OK. Just discovered I submitted the wrong character sheet. I have withdrawn it and submitted the correct one. Also, I want to play a ghost of the vineyard as part of Rabbit's household.

So just to keep conversations going, do any of us have ideas for the members of each others households? I think my guy must have a Jeeves style manservant as wine steward and bodyguard. I suspect he has an apprentice or two since he is moving towards retirement. Maybe a plant creature of some kind that helps keeps his other plants in line.

I was thinking, in terms of a map, there is a central area of Fae interest. Then we have The Helmstone Vineyards to one side and the orchards on the other.
So at least these three covenants are in the same region, with potential crossover of household staff, perhaps they are related, in some cases, for example.

I imagined Helmstone Vineyards more like a sprawling estate with one or two other wizards, a non-wizard vine-tender, and then the usual gaggle of servants and a steward of some sort that handled the day-to-day.

Actually, by the rules step 3 (Outline your household) takes place after everyone has introduced their Wizard. So we should wait for the final wizard introduction-- I jumped the gun a bit on my introduction. :)

Sorry, my brain has been a bit fried the past few days. I'll have time Monday morning to write up my introduction.

This week has been chaotic. I should be back in the swing of things soon.

PbP! I am super duper chill about pacing, by the way (not sure how others feel). Hopefully, we can arrange this such that those that want to post more frequently can and do! I'm in the middle of a major office/building move at work the next 8 weeks so feel ya!

This sounds like a fun experiment. Thanks for having me

Character submitted and reading up on the others in the group. Will all of us have characters in every other wizards house?

Yep! You, and only you, will play your Wizard, but may get the chance to play a number of other Household Characters from other Houses.

So are we all neighbors in the same county, each in our own neighboring counties within a region, or spread throughout the county? I recall it said their is about 40 members of the order and I assume it somewhat dominates the area it is in, though there may be the occasional hedge witch/wizard running around

So, are we on to step 3 (pg #2 / PDF pg.8)?
1. Create your wizard characters,...
2. Go around and introduce your wizards....
3. Go around again to outline your household. Describe its landscape and buildings, who lives there with you, who visits often, who you might see on any given day.
On the other wizards’ turns, choose a character you’ll play in their household. Take a "household character" sheet and for now, just note down who they are.
At the end, the other players should each have a note for a character in your household, and you should have a note for a character in everyone else’s.
4. As a priority, start to think about your household characters’ best interests and self-interests. Write them as you think of them, but otherwise—

Posting rates of at least once per week helps me keep the fiction fresh in my mind.
I find the idea of re-reading what was posted to get back up to speed can become just enough of an obstacle to tempt me to put off posting to "when I have time to focus." And then, naturally, that window of time rarely arrives.

BUT, that said, I am really intrigued by this system, so I will adjust to the pace with no complaint.

I hope to be able to post more frequently going forward. Last month was busier than usual, but we'll see what February brings.

I'm like DMBrainiac, just had a busier than usual January. I will catch up and maintain the group pace going forward.
