Devanis nearly loses his grip on his axe when the wight tears into his forearm but he manages to hold on. "COME ON, BARIC!" he screams. The ranger backpedals, stowing his axe as he does so, and tries to dive through the door.
OOC:
Disengage action. Oh these craptastic Acrobatics checks!

Ameera's words seem to have an effect on the armored skeleton, whose bones rattle as it freezes and then suddenly stands straight. Its stance relaxes before it suddenly seizes up and groans, as though in pain, turning and running back down the hallway that its come from. Not long after, however, you can hear its armor scraping the sides of the hall as it returns to where it once was. As it comes forth from the shadows of the hall, it is cackling madly, a haunting, chilling chord that seems to resonate with your inner fears.

Everyone make DC 13 Wisdom Saves or suffer Disadvantage on all attack rolls this turn.

Erran and Devanis both use this opportunity to break away from the restless dead that harass them and make for the door. Erran gets there first, slipping through the doorway with only a bit of a struggle, leaving Devanis to wait on the more dangerous side.

The wight and the wisp seem no less willing to relent, and they turn on the Dwarf who has approached them. Baric stabs the wight through the arm with his rapier, keeping him at bay by keeping his limb stuck on the end of his blade. The wisp, however, seems to take advantage of Baric's focus, wrapping two tendrils over the Dwarf's shoulders (1 Cold Damage).

Pyrrah, during all of this, is dealing with a very poorly timed broken bowstring, which came loose from its fastening and needs to be retied. Perhaps it was loosened when she wedged through the doorway.

Erren!, thank Vitr you made it. Get ready to close the door, and look for a way to secure it! Ameera peek looks from her low position into the hallway and can see the Baric still harried by a whispy dark sphere. She unrolls her fist out to a pointing gesture towards what little she can see of the sphere Agradoth! and the bolt of purple-white energy stretches toward her target.
OOC:
sorry, that damage should be +2 only

"Damn! Of all times!" Pyrrah angrily tucks her broken bow under her arm. Until she had time to fix it, it would be useless. When she hears the cold cackling, she freezes and her blood seems to chill as it pulses through her veins. She's driven by the strong desire to flee, and it takes all of her mental strength to stand fast. She knows that she wants to get out of here; hopefully the others would now have that good sense as well since they were outnumbered on the other side of the wall. She snatches up her torch again and once more extends her hand. "For the last time, COME ON!!!"
OOC:
I'll make a wisdom save, but not sure that I need to since I'm not taking the attack action. Help action instead.

The failure won't have an effect on you, since you aren't attacking, and it only lasts the one round. Ameera, could you make the DC 13 WIS save?

As Erran scurries through the door, he positions himself on the other side of it to push it close once his compatriots make it through. He frantically looks around the room for a something to brace the door with.

I'm trying! Baric bellows at the sting of the spirit's tendril, before ducking a second swipe. He weaves and dodges his way towards the door, disengaging at the last second before slipping through the door after Devanis.

I thank you all for being so kind as to leave me surrounded when I was merely trying to help.
OOC:
Sorry, that took so long for me to get away, I didn't take some moves to get out of combat when I could have and everyone was calling for it. And didn't understand that I could in other spots.

Rolls

DC 13 Wis save - (1d20+1)

(13) + 1 = 14

Acrobatics to get under the door with ad or disadvantage as appropriate - (1d20+3, 1d20+3)

1d20+3 : (12) + 3 = 15

OOC:
Hope you don't mind, Devanis, but since you can attempt to make it through the door without an action, I went ahead and rolled your Acrobatics for you (since you hadn't attempted it yet), and you passed.
Ameera's attack causes the wisp to burst into a cascade of light, clearing the path for Baric. As the skeleton, wight approach, Baric slips by them and makes his way for the exit. Devanis, with Baric at his back, push into the gap in the door and manage to force their way through to the other side. With the whole party into the next chamber, Ameera and Pyrrah attempt to push the heavy door closed, the wood and iron grinding and squealing as it resists the movement.

Each of you takes a moment to look over the room you have just entered. It is a wide room, and you seem to have entered in on the middle of it. It seems to be about 20 feet deep, and perhaps two or three times as wide. There are pieces of art---portrait paintings, mostly---hanging on the walls, though you cannot discern their details with all of the chaos going on. There is also a divider in the middle of the room; a chest-high stone wall that stretches down from the furthest end to end, with a 5 foot gap on either end to pass around it. There are two doors here, one on each of the furthest sides.

All manner of rubble lies about that could be used to block the door from being opened, including wooden beams (with no clue as to their original purpose) and stone blocks.

Before the door is completely shut, the wight manages to get close enough to shove his arm through, just in time for it to catch in the doorway. It becomes mangled, though the fingers still grasp and move, clawing aimlessly for anything it can reach. There is a thump and a pressure behind the door as more weight is put to it in an attempt to open it wider.

We can brace the door with a beam against that low wall! Ameera searches for a beam about 10 foot in length and tries to push it end to end from the door to the dividing wall. Maybe this one!
OOC:
Probably two actions, but maybe I find the right beam and can start to move it, so I would be set for my next turn too.

Rolls

Investigate for the right length beam - (1d20+2)

Strength to move the damn thing - (1d20-1)

In the short lull, Pyrrah crouches down and begins to restring her bow to repair the damage.

Did Ameera find the right size debris?
Nov 22, 2016 4:33 am
Ameera looks about for a beam that might work. She finds one after several valuable seconds and points it out. As the door begins to push into the room, Erran runs up to lend his strength to it, crushing the wight's arm against the frame before it splits and the bones snap. The broken, bloody limb falls to the floor, grasping and clutching at the air as the door slams shut. There is still substantial force behind it as the restless dead try to force it open once more. During this time, Pyrrah is able to get her bow restrung.
OOC:
Since Ameera's investigation failed, it just took her turn to find it. Others can still interact with the beam since Ameera points it out.
Nov 22, 2016 7:11 am
Devanis rushes to lift the beam that Ameera found and maneuver it into position to brace the door shut.

Devanis drags the heavy, wooden beam into place, but wedging it into the door may take some stronger effort...

Devanis struggles with the heavy beam. "Somebody give me a hand here!"
