Zubie, stay with me and keep alert. We need to find something worthwhile in this place." Ameera makes her way up the sloping hall, into the room to look for anything valuable. She proceeds carefully so as not to cause any additional collapse.

@Pyrrah: Great! The items, however, being buried, may required more force than the mage hand can provide. Maybe not, though! You're welcome to try.

Climbing up the ramp that this hallway has become is an arduous task. Zubie follows, flapping his wings and hovering close behind Ameera as she makes her ascent. There are a few close calls as stones come loose in the floor, and Ameera's feet slip, but keeping one's balance in the hallway is easier with the walls on either side. Notably, there is no corpse within the opened up wall-crypt, and it appears completely empty. Where its contents have gone is a mystery.

The room behind the now open metal door is cramped to say the least. The low, crumbling ceiling keeps one from going too far into it, but most of the debris and rubble seems to have shifted against the walls closest to the hallway. Immediately Ameera can find various golden items. A basin, a small statuette of a nude, winged woman, and a small, broken mirror with a golden frame. As she reaches further into some of the rubble, she pulls a sword free. The long blade, elvish in make and seemingly without blemish or marring despite where it's been found, has a silvery handle with a blue gem in its pommel. The cross-guard is simple filigree, extending into a sharp, white steel bade. It nearly rings as it's pulled free.

There could still be some items within the rubble, but the precariousness of the crumbling ceiling warrants some discretion.

An Elven Longsword will be 1d8 slashing, with the finesse quality.

Ameera stows the smaller items in he backpack and grasps the sword awkwardly in her hand by the hilt. She turns and makes her way slowly down to the door and back to the area where most of the party is standing. "There may be more in there, but I found a couple of trinkets. This sword, obviously, a bowl and a broken mirror. The sword seems well made, and the bowl seems to be gold, so I think they are worth a few coins." Ameera holds the sword up by the cross guard, blade dangling down. "Is this of use to anyone? I am not interested in poking at things up close so I don't intend to try to use it."
Dec 17, 2016 3:57 am
"An Elven Longsword? That may actually better than my small rapier..." She taps the handle of the sword producing from its sheath. "It is kind of difficult to try to poke at a skeleton..." Pyrrah will shift and offer Ameera a hand as she returns up the slope, if she needs it.

Bring 'em all back. We can give them to the Guild if nothing else.

I'll spin a nice tale of their discovery if they start falling flat at first. That or I've met some guys who would love to get the chance to deliver that elven long sword some certain elves.
He chuckles and searches the bottom of the slope for signs of further treasure—or perhaps signs of "life."
OOC:
EDIT: I should probably roll for that search.

Baric searches through the rubble, finding plenty of grasping hands from the restless dead that had been buried there. They are only blinding groping, and thus are easy to avoid. Baric does manage to find a golden chalice, ringed in blue and green gemstones.

Then comes a voice, small, light and curious, from the direction of the sword, "Deliver me where?" The blue gem in its pommel hums slightly as the words emanate from it, "Oh, hello! Do you need any help?" Its tone is sincere and full of concern.

"A sentient sword! That's a rarity." Devanis says, stroking his beard. Addressing the sword directly, he says, "Hello, do you have a name?"
Dec 17, 2016 2:38 pm
Still gingerly holding the sword, but as far away from herself as possible, Ameera says "Someone please take this, I have had enough living gemstones for my lifetime."
Dec 17, 2016 4:01 pm
Pyrrah reaches out and takes the sword before Ameera can accidently drop it. She looks at it curiously. "Curious... " She says quietly. She strokes first the Blade and the pommel softly. She'll help Ameera up (if she hasn't already returned). "Who, or what, might you be? " She muses.

"Hello!" The sword repeats excitedly back to Devanis. "Oh. Thank you," it speaks, presumably to Ameera, as she passes him off. His tone lends a picture in your mind that, if this sword could smile, it'd be beaming from ear to ear with excitement. "My name is-.." It stops talking when another question is asked, and then continues again with, likely, the same answer it was about to say, "My name is Seraph! It's wonderful to meet you. And I'm a who, for certain." The blue gem hums in time with the excited rise and fall of Seraph's cheery little voice.

"Morro save us, a cheery weapon. Do you greet everyone so, even as you are plunged into their heart?"

Erran looks warily at the sword, never experiencing a blade with its own consciousness. As the sword's jovial tone puts him at somewhat ease, he asks suspiciously, "Hello, Seraph. I am Erran, tell me, how did you get here? Where did you come from?
Dec 17, 2016 6:49 pm
As questions are asked, Pyrrah holds the blade carefully across the palms of her hands. She is beyond curious, but will hold her tongue until the others questions have been answered.
Dec 17, 2016 6:59 pm
"Plunged into-.. N-no! Never! I help people! Always!" Seraph sounds somewhat startled, rushing to assure you of his good intentions.

Erran's line of questioning seems to distract him from a brief panic, and he replies in a slightly calmer tone, "Oh, hello, Erran. Well, I was helping some people, but then I got tired, so I took a nap. Next thing I know, everything is dark. So I sat around and waited and waited. I waited a long time. Then, here I am picked up by a pretty lady who doesn't like gems. Then I'm given to another pretty lady who does like gems.

"Last I remember I was with my friend Elnaril, though. Have you seen him? He's an elf, so I don't think he's dead yet."

"Perhaps, but we have seen none living down here of natural means, only undeath." Erran replies, still slightly stunned by an object speaking to him the manner a person would.
