OOC:
Anyone who succeeded the presence test. You know that goblin bites and scratches often lead to the goblin disease, causing the aflicted person to become what attacked them.

You each still have time for an action before the goblin(s) can strike.

Having gotten the valuable out of the chest, Jotna says, "Stop playing paddy cake and let’s get outta here!" she exits the room into the game room and prepares to close and block the door behind them, once her companions come through. While she waits for them, she looks for furniture she can use to block the door.
Jul 3, 2025 8:56 pm
Elma, already peeking out the door for the light earlier, focuses back on the goblin room and runs well out of the way, looking for furniture to help Jotna barricade without getting too close to the hanging woman or the wall decorations.

"Move it Merkari, we're leaving." Borda rushes after the others and prepares to shut the door as soon as Merkari is through... or sooner if she doesn't make it.
Jul 4, 2025 8:21 am
Merkari giggles and hustles after the others!

As soon as the last of you run through to the next room, 2 of the other goblins break free. and jump down from the top bunks. They now snarl, and move towards the fresh meat.

You quickly close the door just before they reach you but, as you expected, they start to claw and push at the door to the game room. Without a decent barricade they will likely break it down. Although it's a sturdy wooden door, it's seen better days and already shows cracks hinting at weak spots.

Old furniture that you could use to brace the door is strewn across the game room. They also don't look like they're in the best shape, but surely there are a few that will still be sturdy enough to hold. The woman is still crying out to you, now more insistent. "HELP MEEEE. I NEED HELP!" starting to turn into moaning as the heads that hang on the walls keep wailing in agony.

Someone will need to hold the door while the others gather a barricade.
OOC:
To succeed at stopping the goblins you'll need 2 successes between the 4 of you.
The one holding the door can do a Strength test.
The ones gathering rubble can either use Agility to avoid getting close to the figures in the game room. Or power through their agonizing wails with a Toughness test.

All tests at DR 12. If you don't get 2/4 successes the goblins will break down the door.
Jul 4, 2025 1:22 pm
Jotna leans against the door, using her bulk to stop the goblins from coming through while her allies grab furniture.
OOC:
fail!
Sorry gang.

Elma is surprised by the hanging woman pleading ever louder and pushes herself against the door, unsure of what to do next. With surprising adrenaline, she tries to push back on the more imminent threat: goblins!

"I-I think Malista said this lady is a threat too!"

Rolls

Looks like you already succeed but I'll wait for Merkari. Could always be a crit or a fumble :)
Jul 7, 2025 7:49 am
Merkari does her best to gather rubble to barricade the door.

Rolls

Agility - (1d20+0)

(10) = 10

Jotna has trouble holding the door. Some of the goblins' arms manage to slip through a small gap and claw at her. Their snarls grow louder with their struggle.
OOC:
Jotna, take 1d6 damage from the clawing. You can reduce it by your armor.
If you take at least 1 damage roll a toughness test DR12 to see if you catch the goblin curse.
Also if you get damaged, roll a DR8 presence test.
Just when it seems she can't hold it any longer, Borda and Elma show up with random bits of furniture to block the door from opening any further. It takes a minute but eventually the goblins settle down, realizing they are wasting their efforts and they retreat back into the dark room.

When it's finally over, you realize Merkari has not been helping out. You turn around and see her standing next to the pleading hanged woman.
Merkari

Unfortunately, while you were looking for material to make a barricade, you came too close to the hanged woman and her pleading voice has you entranced.

"Please help me! Only you can help me." She tells you, and you feel it to be true. Only you have what it takes to release this woman from her agony. She needs you urgently. There is no time to waste!
What does everyone do?
Jul 8, 2025 10:47 am
"Here I come!" Merkari calls in a singsong voice, giggling maniacally. She moves to the hanging woman and tries to untie the rope hanging her so she can come down!

Rolls

Agility? - (1d20+0)

(9) = 9

Jul 8, 2025 4:15 pm
Jotna curses as the goblin claws reach her through the door.
OOC:
:Lucky roll for a change! My leather armor -1d2 damage and my shield -1 damage should prevent me from taking any damage from that. Phew.
Having avoided anything more than a scuff on her armor from the goblins, Jotna turns to see Merkari about to get herself into trouble. She sighs and says, "Merkari! No! Don't listen to that creature!"

Not wanting to get too close, she pulls out her rope and begins to make a loop. If necessary, she plans to try to lasso Merkari and pull her away.
