Feeling overly surrounded by the flock of grimlocks, Haesh uses his hammer and shield to push off his foes. He moves closer to Golwen and Parallel (W14)

The grimlocks pursue the withdrawing party, though some lag behind as they maneuver around stalagmites and hanging bodies. The grimlock before Golwen lashes out and manages to land a heavy blow (15 vs AC, 5 bludgeoning + 1 piercing = 6 damage), but Parallel manages to avoid another grimlock's attack as it lumbers forward. Meanwhile, two grimlocks each launch themselves at Haesh, but only one gets past his shield (24 vs AC, 4 bludgeoning + 1 piercing = 5 damage).
Meanwhile, two grimlocks seem to fight over their "prize" as one pulls on Rhodrick's unconscious body while the other holds onto Jandral. The conflicting strength in their tug-of-war shifts all four individuals slightly westward.

The grimlock's skull is flattened as the hammer connects, and it falls away.
Try as he might, Jandral is unable to retain his grip on Rhodrick as the two grimlocks pull them apart.

Parallel whips his sword around to attack Gr6 -- but he knows he wouldn't survive one more hit with those spiked clubs. He feels bad because he has to retreat from his party, but the party would be better off with an alive and functioning Parallel, rather than a dead one.
He'll then disengage (bonus) and retreats around the southern corner, hoping that by hiding next turn he will be able to use his bow surgically.

Parallel's lunge barely manages to nick the grimlock, but he was more focused on nimbly avoiding the counterattack. As the halfling slips out of the fray, the grimlock turns its attention to the taller elf still there. Suddenly, a blast of fire explodes in the grimlock's face and it howls in pain.
Two other grimlocks, sensing the blast of fire, swarm around to engage Golwen. They and Grimlock6 lash out at the elf, but only one manages to score a glancing blow (24 vs AC, 4 bludgeoning + 1 piercing = 5 damage).
