I was introduced to PbP games with a VtM Chicago forum back in 2003? Anyway, Feeling old about it.

Nice to be here and find the place, someone advertised a game on Reddit, so here I am.

Interested in all sorts of fun settings, but WoD and 40k are probably the two I've enjoyed the most.

Welcome, BrynneMo! I ran a VtM Chicago game here briefly, a continuation of a chronicle we started with Victorian Age Vampire. Unfortunately, not a ton of WoD gets run here despite the decent number of fans.

I'd love to hear about your experiences.

Let's see, there that game was quite drama heavy, and I was quite young actually. Prince was a Venture, but the site owner was an Assamite. I got pulled in by a new friend as a Tzimisce Anti who was a kindred tattoo artist?

I fell in love with the Sabbat then though. Lasombra and Tzimisce are my two favorite clans by a good bit. I really love the Shadow Corsairs of the Antribu. Along with deep Abyss Mystic lore/invention.

I think the most interesting deep lore character I ever played was a Moloch loyal Ater who was companions with a Trujah in the TalMahRae (who I met in that first Chicago game, actually.)

I understand why you don't see a lot of WoD games though, because the things people like about it are usually so very individual. The games are so very different than the rest, that it's kind of hard to predict where it's going to end up.

Very few of the games I've ever played seemed very similar...

That's so deep, chronicle was probably set in Enoch, Underworld.
Being able to run the game in so many different ways is a double-edged sword indeed.

Well, I was a freshman in high school at about that time.

The Sabbat certainly has the cooler lore, undoubtedly given their less than dogmatic focus on fitting in.

I always include the Tal'mahe'Ra and Inconnu in my games in some way. My favorite factions.
