Ooo, follow-up question: assuming my character lives that long, may I try out the Unearthed Arcana Barbarian paths?

I'm inclined to allow it. As for how it would work, there's two ways we could play it:
1) You get to choose your multiclass, just like normal.
2) Roll dem bones. My thought is you would roll the 1d12 for class again, as well as 4 fate dice. This would let me find your multiclass selection and then adjust it as needed (if you managed to roll your current class again or rolled a class you weren't qualified for)
Personally, I don't care either way. I think we could get some outrageous combinations with method 2, but how much player agency do you want to surrender to the dice?

I'm fine with either, however I'd prefer to be multi-classed into something I haven't played yet.
I already have a warlock with the same patron in another game so I want to get away from that class.
Edit: Sorry my mouse sucks and it double posted.

@HypCo - That's absolutely fine with me. I can certainly understand the desire to want to play something you haven't played before.
I think for multiclassing we'll go with method 2, with a minor caveat. I may change some ways certain things function (kind of like the mystery shopper component to normal creation) to give you power for trusting in the dice.

So my dwarf is rather weak and can't actually wear chain mail. What would I be able to swap that out for? With here hermit background I see here being more druid or ranger like when it comes to armor.

Okay, that's a nice bit of starting gear. Are the scores including racial bonuses?
Nov 29, 2016 8:22 pm
Nope, the scores do NOT include your racial bonuses. You get to add those in when you do your fleshing out. Yeah, you essentially maxed the Mystery Shopper table.

You'll be starting as Level 1. I'll be posting up the core of why you are all in Luskan in a moment.

What point in the Forgotten Realms timeline are we in?
Has the spellplague happened? The Sundering?
