As the group runs at top speed towards the exit hallway, they see daylight out at the end. They see the blue sky at the end of a tunnel, that ends at a landing about 50' ahead.
When they enter between the two large blocks that were previously pressed together as the great cube, the sound of grinding stone sounds out in the chamber again. It does not take long to see that the blocks are sliding back together.
The Ulathi are charging forward.
Thorn and Ivor, who is carrying Doirind, cross just barely into the hallway.
Just behind them, Kray feels the strange tightness fall upon him. He feels the weight on his chest, the squeeze on his arms and legs.
The Hierophant's unseen grasp is upon him.
OOC:
Alright y'all. You know there would be a roll of the dice to see what happens. And Ez, The Hierophant wants the Mystic now, and Kray was the silver-tongued speaker who seems to be taking control. Hate to say it, but target selection is pretty predictable.
Here's the deal:
Kray with Sorcha Rhone is the target of a telekinesis grab by The Hierophant.
I'm going to make a roll below that will be the DC to resist.
Kray needs to break through that with STR Athletics in order to press forward. Brute force only. DEX Athletics is not a way out.
Under this circumstance, I think that everyone is expecting something like this to happen. And especially with the focus on Sorcha Rhone (remember the translation: Princess Pearl), I think everyone would be trying to grab in and help pull Kray and Rhone free.
So...for anyone who is game, you
can use a Reaction to lend a hand. (NOTE: I know a couple of you sent preliminary speculative Reaction rolls. Those have not yet been spent. The triggers of firing them have not yet been actuated since there have been no Attacks yet and no one has yet approached Reach range, by rare seconds none of that has yet occurred).
By the Throne Room Defense, Kray already has Advantage on STR Athletics rolls, so normal Help is not going to do anything.
So to simulate the group effort of everyone grabbing and wrapping up and trying to push forward, we will do it like this.
Anyone who wants to push/pull to assist must
successfully make an Attack (it's not really an Attack of course) against AC 10 to see if you can get a hold or grip. You can use DEX or STR plus Proficiency to attempt the "Attack". Success means you are helping.
Anyone who helps sends Kray a +1 to the roll.
Anyone who helps and has a STR of 16 or higher sends a +2 (instead of a +1, so not cumulative).
Anyone who helps and has a STR of 20 or higher sends a +3 (again, not cumulative)
Everyone quickly sees what is happening, Kray is under duress from the invisible force. They know that within seconds he could be pulled back towards the Throne or perhaps thrown anywhere else.
OOC:
Dang. That's pretty high.
Kray must match or exceed DC 29 on STR Athletics to resist Telekinetic pull.
Possible Help from others detailed above.
