Kray is wrenched from his arm.

The doors are closing. The girl is out of reach and out of Kray's arms. She'll need catching, should the Hierophant let her fall. But first we need to encourage her to let the girl fall!

"Aim for the witch!", Thorn grunts at those around him. Left hand still holding his sword, his last axe flies from his right hand, followed by Urdav's bone-handled seax. It hurts to lose a part of the old man so soon after finding it, but life takes precedence.

The he lunges forward, setting himself to the task of relieving the fish-man nearest him of its life.
OOC:
Hand axe and knife thrown at Rutcranna. Action surge to take out Ulathi 6.3, and if possible, movement between 6.1 and 7.2 to get under Rhone to catch her if and when she tumbles from the air. Kray can take care of his own landing. Athletics check added to catch the girl, if needed.

Edit: If 6.3 gets taken out on Attack 3, the rest of Thorn's attack directed to 7.2

Damage, assuming hits:
Hand axe to Rutcranna: 9
Seax to Rutcranna: 6
Greatsword to Ulathi: 52

Rutcranna's words echoed in Kray's mind again.

She's yours now.

Moments after the child had become his ward he was already failing at the task of keeping her safe.

Just like I failed Cera.

A pang of self loathing gutted Kray as memories of Mozamyah assailed him. It had been almost ten years since he had lost Cera to a horrible illness after Mayenel died in childbirth. The Fates were shameless in their cruelty, seeing fit to cut the infant's thread a mere two days after she had come into the world. A young man at the time who knew little of the world, he had considered that the gods were angry with him. Older and wiser now, he knew better.

The gods are just capricious bastards and whores. They can fuck themselves.

Images flashed through his mind of the day before his daughter had died. The medicine man had performed a ritual in an effort to save Cera, one that required Kray's participation and involved chanting, smoke, herbs and what he only could describe as waking dreams.

I failed Cera somehow. The ritual...

He had doubted it, considered it meaningless as part of the attempt to save Cera. At the time, however, he would have tried anything.

The dominant, methodical part of him switched back on. The medicine man had told Kray it wasn't his fault, and that he had performed his part in the ritual without error.

He looked at Sorcha, helpless. For now, it seemed, he could only offer hope. "Courage, girl. We're not dead yet." Of course, it was his own brand of hope, which meant cold hard truth prevailed over warm and fuzzy words meant to create the illusion of hope. The kind of illusory words he had, on occasion, heard the most pathetic of leaders deliver directly to the men under their command.

Much like the 'inspiring' speech given before the Battle... blood bath... of Giants Ford.

He exercised his only option. Truth and hope.

Hope? The word felt alien to him.

"Rutcranna, daughter of Eilmay Brogh! Free your daughter!"

Worth a shot and the only damn thing I can do. Persuasion attempt to see if Kray can somehow get Rutcranna to help thwart the Hierophant's efforts.

From the high floating position, Kray is the first to see it. The Hierophant's cold glare breaks, slightly.

She stops speaking first, and then Kray realizes that he stops floating forward. He can see ahead that Rhone has stopped floating forward as well. They both hang there in place as the battle rages below.

Still holding her hand outward, The Hierophant looks ahead, away from Kray and Rhone and towards hallway and Kray's friends that he knows are below and behind him, even though he cannot see them.

The Hierophant then tilts her head downward, and to the left. As if thinking, or confused?

Ahead of him in the air, Kray can hear Sorcha Rhone beginning to scream out. Her back is turned to him now but he can see her body quaking, her fists clenched. She screams in a mix of anger and pain.

Thorn breaks forward into the line of Ulathi swinging the heavy blade of Urdav. The velocity and force of the sword is such that it cleaves one of the Deep Ones completely in half at the middle torso and still has force enough to chop into the Ulathi standing next to him. With another follow through spin, Thorn arcs the sword around and brings it straight down onto the injured Ulathi, killing the creature as it's head bursts open in a splatter of red gore and pale flesh.

Attacks on Ulathi line hit and kill U6.3 and U7.2.
Movement forward to get within Normal Range for thrown Dagger and Hand Axe.

With the way clear enough to move forward, Thorn strides out. Keeping the heavy blade in one hand, he uses the other to draw and throw two weapons in rapid succession as he takes position beneath Sorcha Rhone. He can hear the girl screaming above him.

The Hierophant stands beside the Throne, which is now pivoting as the central raised platform rotates slowly counter clockwise. The scantily clad woman, who appears as Rutcranna yet has behaved like a foreign power, is looking down and to the left. She seems confused.

Thorn's axe and seax blade are hurling through the air, spinning end over end towards the target.
OOC:
X, you see above that I took some liberty to reorganize sequence on this stuff. In the interest of time and with the fact that you still get everything you want I think. To me, it seemed like Thorn would need to break through the dudes right in front of him before he could make some crazy 50' small weapon throws. Plus up at the north end, those throws would be into Long Range on the numbers; you would have to move forward to get into the 20' Range for Normal Attack and avoid Disadvantage.
In the end, you are still where you want to be. Same results. Desired position. Just different sequence. Hope you don't mind, but if you do I can scratch the above and go the other way, but then we would need to reroll with some Disadvantage headed your way.

Bryn nocks an arrow and races through the opening created by Thorn, underneath Kray and the girl, back into the circle of the throne room then aims at the Hierophant letting loose a single arrow before racing back to the group.
OOC:
Cunning action to dash, into the throne circle, then shooting and running back. From what I can see on the map Bryn should be able to run through the opening Thorn made then go to the 10 o'clock/11 o'clock position to shoot and arrow, then scoot back where he came. Let me know if this is possible. Also, is Casidhe close enough to be threatening the H, or is she preoccupied fighting for her own life? I just want to know if sneak attack is an option. I will roll it just in case.

With a wild battle cry, a bloodied and batter Doirind dives back into the fray, stabbing with her drusus at the nearest Ulathi. She is nearly swooning from injuries, but she draws motivation from Thorn's charge and call to action.

Attack U6.4

Result: Hit

Perfectly aimed in a strong thrust, the drusus blade slides through the Deep One's bulging black eye. The creature drops to the ground in an instant death.

As the Ulathi falls, Doirind too drops down. The drusus falls free and clatters onto the stone floor. She catches herself on her hands and knees, and a thick line of blood pours out of her mouth.

Enduring the stabs from the surrounding Ulathi, Boann stumbles down. Her hands close around the shaft of the spear. She is almost knocked over but she braces her knee on the chest of the dead Ulathi below her and springs back up. She is off balance in the first few steps but stabilizes and begins to pick up speed.

She is charging, the wooden shaft of the weapon set in both hands, spearhead tilted at Rutcranna. The witch's back is turned. The Throne and circular landing is pivoting slowly counterclockwise.

"Traitors!" she thinks to herself.

She makes a running jump up onto the single stair, the innermost circle of the Throne.

"TRAITOR!!!", she yells aloud in a fury, in unbridled rage.

Hinka throws a knife at the Ulathi across the narrowing gap aisle and then approaches to attend to the ailing Doirind.

Result: Hit. Kill U6.1

The knife hits the Ulathi in the throat. It crashes back against the sliding stone wall block, and falls over bleeding to death in a panic, the hot blood pumping out of its torn artery.

Hinka works hard to lift Doirind and pull her back into the hallway, out of the way of the sliding block. She crawls, accepting his help, and then collapses on the floor face down. Hinka rolls her over carefully.

The Throne platform continues to pivot counterclockwise, and The Hierophant stands for a moment in a daze, riding along with the turn of the floor that she stands on, looking down and seemingly distracted, as if facing an internal thought.

Boann charges in.

Thorn throws one weapon then another in blinding succession.

Bryn, having set his stance near the northwest cauldron fires.

Sorcha Rhone is screaming out, suspended in midair alongside Kray.

But the momentarily lapse of attention is gone. The Hierophant's eye widen and her head snaps up, jaw clinched.

Reaction: Invulnerable on the Throne

The axe, knife, and arrow sailing through the air are all diverted completely off route. It is as if they are picked out of the air by an unseen hand and thrown wildly away from the Throne platform. They all sail in different directions to the outer edges of the room, landing among the toiling crowds of alligators.

Boann is hit by an unseen force. The war spear is knocked from her hand and she floats backwards and upwards at an angle.

Then the Hierophant looks back at her, but only briefly.

As The Hierophant slowly turns her head back and sets her sights on Thorn, Bryn, and the approaching Ivor, Boann is throne upward and outward through the air. Her body is flung like a rag doll. She slams at high speed against the east stone wall. She lets out a grunt of pain, bounces off, and falls another fifteen feet, hitting the stone floor with another brutal thud sound.

She lands directly in a collection of alligators. They are already moving in. Titan moves in from behind her as she stirs and pushes up slowly from the ground with one hand.
OOC:
Yo, Jabes. Thought about the way you described your Action, Movement, and sequence. I picture it as Ivor going up and about to throw, but then seeing this scene unfold, including all of the other weapons getting the Protection from Missiles treatment.
I really think there was that split second in which he could hold his throw (or divert it to another target, convert to Melee vs.
nearby Ulathi, etc. I just didn't want Hierophant to take away that hand axe in an manner that would have been a little more contrived by PBP mechanics than by a real-life visibility that would have been more clear, and thought the possibility of not 3 but 4 range attacks projecting out simultaneous was quite unrealistic.

That being said, you can still throw at Throne Diva, or you can redirect, reholster, or whatever else.

As Boann struggles to rise her head from the floor, one quick alligator moves in and snaps its vice jaws onto Boann's head and shoulder. She screams out in terror and pain.

Another alligator snaps at her leg, but the first alligator is too fast and drags his catch backwards and away. Boann's scream goes silent.

But Titan is already on the move to claim this new cut of meat. The monster's jaws widen like death itself and slam shut with a splattering crunch. Boann's body nearly disappears entirely, encased behind a wall of teeth and black reptilian gums. Only her head and one arm remain outside of Titan's maw, hanging obscenely outside of the beast's lip.

With a great pivot, the dragon turns and sends its massive tail sweeping in at surprising speed. The other alligator is throttled head on and rolls several times over as it is swatted away like a pest.

In one more toss of the head and shift of the tongue, Boann is swallowed into Titan's giant gullet.

After the incoming weapons are flung away and Boann sails away from the Throne, The Hierophant wobbles.

Rhone pauses her scream. Low enough so that only Kray can hear, she says one word aloud, in a desperate tone, "No!"

Boann crashes into the wall, hits the floor, and then is eaten by Titan. It all happens within seconds.

Rhone's scream tears out again through the room even louder, "nnnnnnnNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

The Hierophant steps to the side now. She is near to swooning, and puts her hand out to catch the arm of the turning Throne. She slides into the seat of the great chair, landing into a seated position in a rather rough crash. The Throne and the central one-step platform continues in a slow grinding turn, pivoting to face the north hallway.

Kray can feel it right away. His body drops about two feet, and then recatches. His limbs are not fully functional, but he can move them slowly with great effort. And he can speak slowly now. The hold is weakening.

Sorcha Rhone has her hands out to the side, fists clinched and apparently in her own control. She is slowly sinking in the air as she screams out in anger.
