Out-Of-Character (OOC) Discussion

There are no rules in the book for diagonal movement, so I assume the book consider diagonals to be 1 meter. But then again, DS tends to leave a lot of thing to the discretion of the GM. So if you're not a big fan of non-euclidean diagonal movement, we can always consider diagonals to cost an extra 0.5 meter...

I’m fine with keeping it 1 point for each space for the sake of keeping it simple. I was only asking because I think Dextolen used to have some other rule that was something like and extra .5 or "1-2-1-2" or something like that, and wasn’t sure if you followed that too.

For this fight, we'll keep it 1 to 1 since Grapthor already moved to where he is at a cost of 5 MR instead of 5.5, but once the fight is done, I can always pass it to a vote if people prefer more "realistic" movement, and we could have diagonals cost an extra 0.5 then...

well for me the 1 to 1 movement is best, makes things really easy and swift for PbP

Hi everyone! First of all I'd like to apologize for my two-week absence. I'm back with some sad news (sad for me anyhow).

The day I was hoping would never come has arrived: Due to recent changes in my life (some good, others not so much) I am going to be forced to drastically cut back on my game involvement, and that includes withdrawing from this game.

Thank you for the opportunity to play Grapthor again in your game, @kalajel. I wish I could continue but I can't. I think I owe it to everybody as well as to myself for my character to die or depart in a way that makes sense to the story rather than just drop out. I'm willing to work with you on exactly how.

Okay, I'll find a way to remove Grapthor. In the meantime, I'll go ahead and announce I have a few places free in my game.

Just a heads up, I’ll be out of town for wrestling tournaments this weekend. I’ll be on the road this afternoon, and won’t get back until late Sunday night. I don’t foresee any major problems or holdups, other than the fact that I likely won’t get a chance to log in or post anything until matches are over in the evenings.

It’s USAW Freestyle State Championships in the morning. USAW Greco State Championships in the afternoon, and USAW Folkstyle State Championships Sunday Morning.

So International (Olympic) styles tomorrow. "High School"/Collegiate style Sunday.

I coach, and I have a son and daughter that compete.
