As Ryn and Greymond run off up the stairs Basra calls over his shoulder, "Watch yourselves up there friends! Evil has always been able to find a way to catch he unwary off guard!" Basra remains near the door, not wanting to find a window and then have the enemy break through after he leaves. He begins to feel the pressure of battle start to build and grips his mace and shield a bit tighter slightly shifting his weight from foot to foot to keep himself from being caught flat-footed. He is still ready to attack if something come through.

OOC:
Sorry, haven't been home to advance the plot.
Ryn and Greymond:The board, with the combined effort of Greymond and Ryn, breaks free of it's nails to reveal a dark sky and the front of the mansion where a multitude of wolves are gathered, each hungry to take another bite out of the house. That is, except one. This one stands behind the group, carefully observing everything in front of it. It's eyes quickly dart to Ryn and Greymond. There is an unmistakable hunger inside them.

Basra and Wil: You hear a loud crack from an area farther back in the house followed by escalated howling. Ireena and Ismark seem far too busy with their own windows to notice.
May 3, 2018 2:41 am
"Oh my... I've, I've never seen anything like this... I, I think that one is the leader." Ryn points out a finger and shoots an eldritch blast at the leader.

Eldritch Blast - (1d20+5)

(1) + 5 = 6

Damage - (1d10+3)

(8) + 3 = 11

Over the sound of the wolves growling and yipping, Basra hears a sharp crack from farther back in the house. He glances over at Ireena and Ismark to see their response, but they seem not to have noticed and are focused on the Windows they are guarding. Basra yells to Wil, "Wil, did you hear that noise from farther back in the house? I believe the wolves might have broken thru somewhere back there! Let us leave this room to the others and go check it out!" he begins moving in that direction and calls out to Ismael and Ireena, "Lady Ireena, Ismark, I heard a noise farther back in the house! Wil and I are going to check it out. This room is yours!" Basra heads toward the noise hoping that Wil is following.

Ryn: The blast goes wide, hitting the ground behind it's target. The lone wolf starts briskly traveling around the side of the building but not without giving you another chilling glance. Just for a moment, you swear it smiled at you.

Basra: You find the source of the noise in the form of a board on a dining room window having been forced off from one side of the wall by a group of wolves that now are trying to push their way inside. At the sight of you, the wolves gain an increased level of excitement.

"We have a breach! They are breaking into the dining room!" Basra moves to the window, standing just enough to the side so that Wil, if he did indeed follow, has a clear line of sight to the wolves, and attacks. (I want to block the window as much as possible aside from Wil’s view)

Wil and Basra: Basra's warhammer hits the windowframe as the wolf gets out of the way of his hammer. Wil's strike shortly after, however, disbatches the wolf instantly. The other wolves around the opening, who are far less populous than in the front, let out a yelp and run around the side of the house. As they do you hear hurried footsteps approaching the window. A tall figure approaches the window and looks through a gap in the boards above where it is broken, looking upon both of you with apparent alarm. You cannot see the rest his face but, through the broken board, you can see that his clothes are of decadent quality. Help, there are wild animals out here! May I come in? He asks. There is something extraordinary in his eyes.

Ryn and Greymond: Ryn's eldrich blast goes wide but Greymond's flask strikes right in the middle of the wolves, catching 5 in its wake.

Basra glances at Wil and then asks the man, "What are you going out there?!" Basra takes a good look at the man, wondering why he would approach a house that was obviously under attack by wolves and ask to be let inside. It strikes him as odd.
OOC:
(Insight check?)
"There are wolves about and they are swarming this house! As much as I would like to let you in, the safest place for you right now is not here at the moment my friend. Hurry and get away before the wolves come back!" Basra looks past the man trying to see if any wolves are coming back to the window.
OOC:
Perception if you need it.

Basra: There are no wolves you can see in the immediate vacinity of the window. You can tell from the man's speech that he is smiling and even trying to stifle a laugh as he asked to come in. He cracks as you finish speaking, with a loud, unsettling laugh. I disagree, Master Basra. There is no place safer. Now allow me to repeat myself. May I come in?
OOC:
Give me a Charisma saving throw.
May 4, 2018 4:49 pm
Greymond still focuses on the wolves at the front.
OOC:
Assuming theyre still there.
Taking another red vial and tossing it in the greatest cluster of wolves again.

Slightly confused by the mans response, Basra cocks his head to one side as he looks at the man. He saw no more wolves for the time being and his attention is fully on the man now.
OOC:
Basra's suspicions were correct?! Wow! Please roll high... Oops!
Guys I think we are in trouble!
