Crolwell claps his hands together.
Without taking note of anyone, Crolwell runs out towards the woods and then back toward Taft jumping in and out of the bubble.
"Hey kid!" Crolwell calls out once disappearing into the bubble.
A second later Crolwell will stick his head out of the bubble, laughing crazily.

Once the bard asks the group his question Crolwell will sit on the ground and pull out his Fluba. He brushes his robes down and says:
"How about the two of us, Young'un?"

I go toward the pin, peering at it with even more interest than before. I must know what it is and how it works!!

Ütés:
You don't see any immediate threats. You do notice a few small creatures, rabbits and squirrels, who are able to pass back and forth between the wall of this safe area. You are safer here, but not completely. Though maybe it's the best you could hope for.

Aelar will smile at Crolwell, "I'd love to play with you, I'll even let you pick the first song."

Xadira:
You can feel an area concealment magic. Possibly illusionary magic. It emanates from the pin. As you try to reach out a hand to touch it you can feel an almost static discharge in the air near it. You think touching it may be a bad idea. Taft, seeing your interest in it crouches near you and picks up the pin without consequence and you see an almost imperceptible shimmer all around you as you feel the magic recede. Then he sets it back down and you see the shimmer again.

"The Daggers have not existed as long as we have without a few tricks", he says with a big grin.

"Fascinating! Marvelous, truly!" I reach out several times, wanting desperately to pick up the pin and getting within a hair's breath of doing so. Finally, I turn away from it and mentally file the information given to me, to be transcribed later tonight. I've already learned much on this journey. I may need to write several compendiums at this rate!

"Oh, are we to be treated to a performance?" I find a comfortable spot and sit cross-legged, watching Aelar and Crolly.

Finished with her walk about the magical bubble, Ütés returns to the others, finds a spot on a log, and takes a seat. She removes her pack and starts to rummage through it when she hears Aelar starting to strum a bit on his harp. "A tactical nightmare!" she thinks as she surveys her surroundings one more time before finally relaxing a bit, having faith that the magic bubble will do its job.

Naatkinson says:
Aelar will smile at Crolwell, "I'd love to play with you, I'll even let you pick the first song."
"All righty then kid, try to keep up!" With that Crolwell will begin playing his Fluba with his passions and his dreams fulling the odd music.
Of what a wonderful fairy that was so long ago...

Together the performance is quite moving. Aelar and Crolwell seem to find a good rhythm together and help everyone relax as night sets in. The threats outside the bubble fade from mind, if only for a moment.

[ GM: As night nears do you want to setup watches or anything? ]

As the night goes on Aelar will put away the harp, "It's probably a good time to get some rest now," and then he'll look at Taft, "You think we're safe to sleep here tonight or should some of us stand guard for the night?

Not waiting for Taft's reply Ütés stands up and grabs her shield. "I'd feel better if at least once of use was on guard at all times. While the magic bubble does appear to hide us from those outside, it doesn't appear that it will stop something from wandering in."

She looks over to Taft and asks, "Is my understanding of your magic correct, my friend?".
Sep 2, 2015 5:01 pm
Taft looks to Ütés, "You are correct, the field will mask our presence and our sound, but things may still stumble into it. Practicality beat usefulness in that aspect when The Daggers designed this."

"I do agree with Ütés, we should have a watch setup through the night. Luck favors the vigilant.", he says, "I will volunteer for the next watch, as it appears we already have our first volunteer."
Sep 2, 2015 5:02 pm
"You can't stand guard all night by yourself, I will take a shift as well," Aelar will say and then approach Utes and whisper, "I don't think we should let Crolwell take a turn on watch all by himself. He seems to be a bit... unpredictable, to say the least. Do you want to take watch with him or shall I?"
Sep 2, 2015 5:09 pm
Underestimating the old man's abilities once already, Ütés whispers back to Aelar in elvish, "Perhaps all of our watches should be in pairs, we're all pretty tired, having a second would be helpful. I'll take the first shift with Taft and seeing as how you and Crolwell seem to be getting along the two of you can take the second. We can split the shifts afterwards to ensure everyone has their turn. Agreed?"

Aelar will whisper back in Elvish as well, "That sounds fair to me. You're the professional here, I'll leave the rest of the watch order to you," he finishes, deferring to her greater experience.

"Taft, you and I will take the first watch while the others get some sleep."

"'night all!"

Ütés will move about 15' away from the others, take a knee, and scan the perimeter of the bubble, looking for anything that may be out of place.
