"I'd say we learned more about Vizerion compared to the thief. Man hasn't been robbed in years because of undead, but now someone comes along and steals from him after he's missing? We need to check out his house, bet he's got all kinds of...clues there."
"I'd agree somewhat, the thief may be third party related to someone like merchant based or another well off noble coveting Vizerion's land and/or deal with the church to me would be more likely a path to research versus a random thief trying to just loot.

Vandals access the dangers and risks just like everyone else, a few quick coins for most isn't worth getting killed by the undead over if you're not brazen it's not good business. Either he had something to do with the undead or he had a way to keep them in check... unless they're gone now then well... we'd need to look for illegal document and papers into illegal dark arts. Mind the tone Lady Nera, remember our actions and deeds not only reflect on our job at hand but also the reputation of Lady Argus. What we do in the grey must adhere to the job and the repercussions of said actions is something we need to gauge and shoulder the burden of and plus the strain it may cause in our relationship to Argus."
he works out verbally before putting a pause in the discussion for a serious reminder of the rippling effect.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Nera answers in an oblivious naive tone, looking at something in the streets which conveniently catches her eye. "Do not worry Tronus, I do only what is necessary for survival, and right now what's necessary is my keep Lady Argus happy. If that means investigating a literal haunted mansion shrouded in blood and dark magicks so be it."

[ +- ] Hill's Gate
As midday edges closer to mid-afternoon, you all wrap up your inquiries in the city and make your way to the rendezvous point at the HIll's Gate. It doesn't take long for everyone to spot the wagon Tronus and Nera have leased for the next few hours that will take you to the Dribbage property. While this exit isn't Nornholt's most used, a small contingent of town guards does monitor comings and goings on the dirt path that winds northward from the city. As you await your chance to exit, you have a spare moment to touch base with one another about your individual findings and to consider further leads.
OOC:
Feel free to discuss your findings here or in the OOC. I'll give you some time (till tomorrow evening EST) to get each other up to date. Might be worthwhile to list out some leads/findings/inconsistencies/whatever from the three investigative pairs.
Aug 6, 2019 6:55 am
OOC:
Not sure how this would go... so I'll copy the summary :)
As Nekurr sits on the wagon, waiting for their time to exit the Nornholt, he look at Nera and starts to chitchat "How is the first day going? Any exiting findings?"

"I'll let Lady Nera summarize as well but the robbery wasn't done from people of the lower city I don't feel, they're dead set on staying away from the place since the last thief that tried some time back at stealing something there saw undead in the cemetery and went mad afterwards from what he saw before passing... So I don't think things are that random for the robbery. Although it's Lady Argus' case to deal with be mindful of seeing members the Moon Cutters."
Aug 6, 2019 9:51 pm
"I suspect the Moon Cutters are playing a large part here. Was it revenge, a score, something else? I only can think of more questions, we need to investigate this place, see what we can dig up."

OOC:
arMedBeta and mcneils5 -- Barvek and Hildar turned up a lead or two, so it still might be worth restating them for followup!
You don't have to wait long to pass through the Hill's Gate; the guards let you by with no trouble upon mention of Lady Argus's name. You drive the horses north along the Greyhaven road for about ten minutes, reaching a steady trot and feeling the breeze on the well-kept road. Eventually, you turn right on a dirt track heading east. Despite the worse condition of the trail, you make good time as you pass by a few fenced-in fields spotted with livestock and horses.
[ +- ] Dribbage House
As you pass a simple farmhouse--presumably belonging to the neighbor Barribelyn Bonebelly mentioned--a large, three-story, stone house comes into view, perched atop a hill. The horses come to a stop in front of the stone house. While the place looks sound, a few missing roof tiles and some broken glass in a window or two betray the neglect the place must have gone through in Vizeron Dribbage's absence. A sign reading "DRIBBAGE" hangs out front and squeaks in the wind. Just beyond, the headstones of the cemetery peek through the bushes.
[ +- ] Olarie Dribbage
It doesn't take long before a slim, young woman with raven hair and eyes comes out to greet you. "You're here! I'm so relieved," she says, standing in a manner nobles are known to stand. "I hope you didn't have trouble finding the place. Please, please, come in. The place is still a mess, but I can fetch some tea and refreshments. I haven't had time to send for the servants in Tamalir yet, so you'll have to bear with me..."
OOC:
Didn't want to narrate things further than this in case you didn't want to go into the house just yet for some reason.
Aug 7, 2019 3:41 am
OOC:
Before we get there. Sorry, life has been kind of hectic.
"We learned that the burglary wasn't reported to the constabulary. We might want to ask about that. Also apparently there was an incident with Vizeron and the church. He used to be a priest there. We may want to follow up with the neighbors of the property to get more information about the burglary."
Aug 7, 2019 7:19 am
OOC:
The house sounds like a good place to be now :)
"Thank you lady Dribbage, that is very kind of you." Nekurr greets and smiles the Lady as she offers some tea. "The servants haven't arrived from Tamalir yet? It is surely impossible to manage such an estate for long without helping hands."

Tronus smiles and nods cordially before looking to Nera knowingly before looking around. He hops down with a grunt from the cart and then follows the Lady on her invitation scanning the area as he goes.
Aug 7, 2019 4:39 pm
"I would also like tea." Nera nods politely to Lady Olaire, following after Tronus with light footsteps.

[ +- ] Dribbage House Drawing Room
"I know, the place is a mess! Without the servants here, unpacking has just been a nightmare." Lady Dribbage waits for all of you to enter the house, but this takes some time due to the condition of the first room you come to. The room is a mess of open trunks, straw-filled crates, and stacks of personal effects. The noblewoman gestures to some velvet-covered divans and a couple of wooden chairs. "Please do sit down. I'm afraid I don't have enough chairs for everyone." Her cheeks flush red as she grimaces. "I will say that the crates aren't too uncomfortable if you don't shift around too much..." As you all scramble to find seats--or choose to remain standing--Olarie Dribbage moves toward a door that seems to lead to an equally cluttered kitchen. "I'll be back in a moment. Tea shouldn't take more than a couple minutes!"

You assume you probably have two or three minutes before the lady returns.
OOC:
Let me know if you want to do anything before she returns. You have time to poke your head into an adjoining room or two, to scan the room with a Perception check, or anything else you can think of. Or you can just wait for her return.
Aug 7, 2019 4:46 pm
Mengus goes and runs around the room inspecting it
OOC:
What should i roll for perception

steef99 says:
Mengus goes and runs around the room inspecting it
OOC:
What should i roll for perception
OOC:
A couple of possibilities. If Nera wants to help you, you can make a combined check, which would mean Nera's Cunning and your ranks in Perception. However, this would require the two of you to talk to one another, so any threats you roll may indicate that Lady Dribbage catches you in the act.

Option 2 is that Mengus checks alone. In this case, you still get two boost dice from Nera, since she has the Heightened Awareness talent.

So hold tight for a moment so somebox can decide how Nera will help (either actively or passively).
Aug 7, 2019 5:54 pm
Nera sits criss-cross on the floor, looking around this room while Olaire is absent. "Hmmm, Mengus do be careful not to bonk your head looking under the table or sofa, it is rather unpleasant." She says in her up to no good sweet voice.
OOC:
Lets do it, I can totally lie our way out of trouble, yep definitely not gonna backfire.
Aug 7, 2019 6:19 pm
OOC:
Excellent! The room is quite cluttered, but it's also fairly roomy. Base difficulty is Hard. I'll add a boost die in there to represent the other PCs keeping an eye out for you. I'll add a black die (K) to indicate the fact that you're rushed. (If either of you had the Knack for It talent for Perception, of course, you would ignore the black.) Finally, I'll spend a Story Point to upgrade the check and make it interesting. :)

steef99, your final roll is going to be YYGGB + PPRK.

Tronus moves to crates possibly to sit on and inspects them looking to see their condition and how they were opened and he checks out a couple since he doesn't want to sit on something that will collapse under his weight.
OOC:
I'm looking for if they look like they've actually come from Tamalir (wear and tear of the road coming from that way) and if it looks like something she could have opened herself or had hired help which isn't around... I might be confused assuming noblewomen would crate open crates and start 'sprusing the place up' by themselves... I figure that kind of behavior is rare and not considered normal since that's what the 'help' would do.
Aug 7, 2019 8:04 pm
"Milady, would you like some help with the tea?" Nekurr offer his help to Olarie as he hurries to open the kitchen door for her to pass.
OOC:
If she accepts, the chit chat will possibly increase the time available to search around, or at the very least, provide some warming loud talking. Possibly some opportunity to follow up with some questions :D

Barvek sits on a crate near Tronus and says quietly to him, "Best leave the poking around to the younger folk."
