Tumtwig is honestly scared that he could be easily mauled to death by these zombies. Moving back again, the small forest gnome conjures another bolt of fire to hurl at the closest zombie.

1d20+6 : (17) + 6 = 23

1d10 : (4) = 4

The zombie that was hit by the fire bolt staggers to a halt and burns silently, then begins walking around aimlessly, as do all of the others. Kost's mutilated body hits the floor, and the zombies lose interest in your group completely.
OOC:
The zombies no longer have a will guiding them and have stopped fighting you.
You gain 300 xp for this battle!

Kama takes his time to approach and dispatch each individual zombie, to ensure they won't bother anyone else.

Kama lines up a swing and practices his technique with the longsword. "See if the fella has anything in his tent. We rest, then head south and track those orcs."

Once the last zombie is taken care of, Kama peers into the old tower that the necromancer was investigating.

The ruins that you snuck into were actually the walls of the tower at one point. It must have been HUGE in its time, but it's mostly gone now.

You find the Wand of Magic Missiles on he dead wizard's body. Inside the tent you find: 35 sp, 20 ep, 20 gp, 5 pp, one pearl (100 gp), a potion of healing, a scroll of darkness in a bone tube, and a tiny jeweled box (25 gp) containing a ring

After ensuring that nothing else resides in the ruins, Kama looks up at the sky. "Kinda early to make camp, but a bit late to head out for orc-hunting. Whaddya say we scout a bit to the south, but rest here overnight before fully going after them?"

He ignores most of the loot, letting the others sift through first.

Gimblyn nods to not setting up camp this early and picks up the tiny jeweled box, "I swear there has to be more to this place than broken walls..." He walks up to the old well and stretches his little body to look down. "Xora, can you breath underwater like a fish? I can only swim like an owl." The forest gnome motions the box in hand to his companions to see if it's fair to take it.

He'll also wait to see how the loot works itself out, not confident that he did much at all in that last encounter.

In addition to Cure Wounds (last spell of the day), using Lay on Hands for 10 more Hit Points (no more LoH until a long rest)

Maybe Kama can save that last hit die...everyone who heals gets this +6 bonus, as long as they can hear his song

I lean against a tree and rest my eyes for a moment, feeling the exhaustion and pain of battle wash over me, before fading into the background.

Figglebauter works on his bow while they take a rest. He wasn't over exhausted that fight, so he didn't need much time to rest.
